The Glasgow-born forward stayed with Leicester for just one season, making 29 Football League appearances and scoring six goals along the way.
Connachan, who arrived at Leicester via clubs including Celtic, Airdrieonians and Glossop North End, wasn't exactly a prolific marksman during his time as a Fox but he did manage to score against each of his previous English clubs. He was known for his pace and played in a variety of positions along the Fosse attacking line.
He didn't stay long at many clubs, making just one Scottish League appearance for Celtic before going on to play for Airdrieonians, staying for just four days and one match before making the move south of the border. Following his release from Fosse he made the short trip to play for Nottingham Forest, but didn't stay long there either, leaving after just two months.
Cannachan went on to become a joiner after his footballing days and sadly died from prostate cancer at the age of 66.
