The Lancashire-born centre-forward made his name with Everton and Sheffield United and also played for New Brighton Tower before bringing his career to a close with Leicester.
He signed in May 1900, making his debut in an away game at Nottingham Forest nine months later and only featuring four more times for the Foxes in league, notching one goal along the way.
Lady Lucky certainly wasn't shining on his time in Leicester - he was hospitalised due to contracting a fever after signing for the club, something which sidelined him for a number of months and forcing him to have a long wait for his debut.
