The Irthlingborough-born striker made his Leicester debut in an away match at Walsall in February 1898 - just days after notching a hat-trick in a friendly clash against local rivals Loughborough.
His performance was good enough to keep a starting role for the remainder of the season and the start of the following term, too, but Keech soon lost his place, and swiftly moved on in search of first-team football.
He scored five goals in 15 appearances for the club, a return of a goal every three games, that was not enough to maintain his starting role and he made the short trip to play for Loughborough, obviously taken by his friendly hat-trick performance.
Moves to Queens Park Rangers, Brentford and Kensall Rise United followed before he called time on his playing career.
