The Ivory Coast winger was signed by SPL giants Celtic under the leadership of former City manager Martin O'Neill but was never really a first team regular at Parkhead. He was released at the end of his contract and was signed by City on a free transfer in 2005. Craig Levein was in charge at the Walkers Stadium and brought an influx of SPL players south of the border.
Sylla's manager at St. Johnstone, Sandy Clark, once said of the winger: "He's so skilful. The thing about Momo is this - he doesn't even know what he's going to do, so how's a defender supposed to know?" He went on to make 39 appearances for Leicester between 2005-7 before moving on to Kilmarnock.
