Joining in February 2011 on-loan, Bruma arrived at City having developed through the youth ranks at Dutch giants Feyenoord and Chelsea, and he also represented Holland at U19 and U21 level.
With masses of potential, Bruma will probably be remembered from his 11 games in a City shirt for conceding a penalty and getting sent-off in the 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough - his first sending-off in his professional career. Playing at centre-back, the Foxes failed to win in Bruma's first seven starts for the club but then he moved into midfield and promptly scored two long-range goals in a 4-2 win over Scunthorpe United.
He returned to Chelsea and was loaned out to German Bundesliga side Hamburg.
