Galloway was twice brought to City on-loan from Celtic, but both stints were troubled through injury and an horrific car crash that saw his footballing career come to a sad end.
Mark McGhee spotted his qualities to bring him south of the border to help City in the Premier League, but during two loan stints he made just five appearances for the club.
An initial month's loan was agreed but he suffered an hamstring injury in his very first training session since making the switch from Celtic Park. He managed to get a run together but, just as a new loan deal was being agreed with a view to a permanent signing, Galloway suffered another injury set-back.
McGhee's interest in Galloway, who could play in midfield or at right-back, continued and in the pre-season he went back to try and sign him on-loan again. Portsmouth were also looking at signing him but before he could make up his mind he was involved in a car accident and was in a critical condition at Leicester hospital before pulling through.
He didn't play football again but did go into coaching. However, his personal life took a slide and he was hit with a driving ban and a suspended prison sentence.
