The son of former Manchester United captain Steve, Alex Bruce played just five games for the Foxes whilst on-loan from Ipswich Town. He had an unfortunate start to his Foxes career, suffering a hernia injury that kept him sidelined for a number of weeks. He returned to the Leicester starting line-up to partner Jack Hobbs for the last few games of the season, and was part of the City side that lost in the Championship play-off semi-finals against Cardiff City.
He was linked with a permanent move to Leicester after his loan stint came to an end but a move never materialised and he moved to Leeds United from Ipswich.
