Antigua-born Carr was a jet-heeled full-back who was given his chance with City by Jock Wallace as City secured their Second Division safety in the 1978-79 season.
He was harshly sent-off in just his third game for the Foxes and struggled to overtake Dennis Rofe in the pecking order at Filbert Street, limiting his appearances to 12 in the league and two in the League Cup.
He moved on to Halifax Town to get more regular first-team action before spells with other clubs including Rochdale, Nuneaton Borough and Weymouth further down the line.
