Glasgow-born Gibson's playing stint at City may have been pretty forgetful - he stayed over three years but played only four league games for the Foxes - but he'll be remembered for being the only doctor to play league football for the club. He was still studying medicine at Glasgow University when he signed.
Known as 'Doctor Tom', Gibson was never on a winning City side and all his performances in the blue and white came away from home. He began his career at Parkhead before moving to Leicester, and then moved on to play for Ashby White Rose, Burton Town and Ashby Town.
He played as an inside-forward and won junior recognition for Scotland while at City but his professional career never really took off. He also represented Scotland as a swimmer in his youth years. On retiring from football, Gibson continued to work as a medical officer.
