The Glaswegian inside-left made his Fosse debut at home against Lincoln City in September 1914 but his time at the club was brief, even if he was still down as being transfer-listed by the club as far as 1919.
Hastie managed just 17 league appearances for the club and one in the FA Cup, scoring one league goal along the way. He couldn't settle at Leicester and moved on just over a year after arriving from north of the border, where he played for Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and Abercorn amongst others.
His departure took him to Northern Ireland and Belfast Celtic, where he helped them to their Irish Championship success before returning to Abercorn and finishing his playing career with Johnstone.
