The Coalville left-back made only one appearance for the Foxes, in a 1-0 victory over Gainsborough Trinity in December 1910. He helped keep a clean sheet in the absence of the injured Sam Currie but it was to be his sole outing.
Starting his career with his hometown club, King was City's reserve left-back for two seasons but was seemingly deemed too weak despite having an attractive style of play.
He didn't do enough to have his player registration renewed and left the club in 1911 for Mansfield Town.
