Scottish striker Grieve had a one-in-two goal ratio for Foxes - but he only managed four games for the club during a short three-month spell, netting twice along the way.
He'd moved south of the border to Manchester City from Morton and went on to play for Accrington Stanley before Fosse snapped-up his services. But his first-team stint wasn't to last long when, following hot-on-the-heels of his arrival, former player Fred Shinton returned to the club and took his place in attack.
It meant a swift return to Lancashire with Accrington for the marksman but his travels continued when he moved on to play for Southport Central. A third spell followed back at Stanley and that's where he finished his career.
Grieve played as an amateur throughout his career, hence the short stays at clubs and double return to Accrington. He enjoyed a good job out of football, something he prioritised over his football career.
