The Liberian striker was Gary Megson’s only signing during his brief spell at City boss when he came in on-loan from Fulham in October 2007 and make eleven appearances, notching two goals.
He arrived in England with Fulham after starting his professional career with FC Twente and Foxes fans knew him well thanks to his two goals for Fulham against Leicester three years earlier. He wasn’t to repeat that kind of form during his loan stint in the blue and white, however.
He did score on his first start against Barnsley but his only other strike came against Colchester and he suffered an injury when Ian Holloway took charge following Megson’s departure, prompting a return to Craven Cottage.
John had another loan stint in England with Watford after falling down the pecking order with Fulham and then moved to Major League Soccer with Chicago Fire following spells in the Belgium league.
