"No British people were killed."

As in news reports like this,

"A plane carrying 167 people crashed in Spain today, no British people were killed."

or

"A cruise liner sank in the Mediterranean today, with 63 casualties. No British people were killed."

or

"A bomb detonated in a cafe in central Berlin today killing 8 people and injuring 15 others. No British people were killed."

In effect it always sounds to me as if they're saying, "No British people were killed... we'll that's okay then!"

I know that's not what they're saying (they're reassuring people who might possibly have relatives/friends in the area), but surely there must be a better way of putting it!

I AM GETTING DIAL UP SPEEDS BECAUSE THEY SAY I AM IN THE 4% OF PEOPLE THAT DOWNLOAD TOO MUCH. THEY DONT SEEM TO EMAIL ME ABOUT THIS SO I HAVE TO WAIT 50 MINS ON THE PHONE JUST TO BE TOLD I HAVE TO PAY THE FULL CONTRACT TO GET A MAC CODE
