  1. We had one and he jumped ship because like Roger saw what was coming.
  2. Who knows, but based on stats there's nothing to choose between them I would agree that Iversen has more potential Possibly, but the point I was making is that no one person is to blame and no one blames the 4 players in front of them, it's a team game after all and to blame one player or manager in my opinion is wrong. Supporters are looking for scape goats when the club as a whole is responsible!
  3. Looks like the majority a fan don't believe Ward is go enough and I do have sympathy. I don't blame any one aspect of the club, because either through circumstance (Covid), Owners making errors, manager warnings not listened too and errors made, players underperforming on a massive scale and a large number fans turning on the club at every opportunity. It should have not as any surprise we got relegated. But. Coming back to this thread. Look at the premiership stats for both our keepers. Ward played 26 games conceded 46 goals that's 1.7 goals per game with 1 in 4 game a clean sheet. Iversen played 12 games conceding 22 goals that's 1.8 goals per game with a 1 in 12 game clean sheet. So why is everyone down on Ward, when Iversen is just as bad, even though virtually every support wanted him instead of ward. When it's obvious that the fault lies not with one player but the club. That's the past and this is a new season, new manager and a lot of new players. Let's move on.
  4. VAR was brought in due to errors highlighted by the media, I understand errors from the on field ref. He see it from one perspective, VAR should not make any errors and not be frightened to highlight all errors by a ref.
  5. I believe referees are ignoring some rules of the game,. Obstruction - a player deliberately blocking a player when they havent got controll of the ball, either running across a player to block then off and moving there arms out wide to block a player. Since when has shirt pulling part of football, book all players that pull shirts or man handle another player. Showing any form of decent to an official or even questioning a decision should be shown a yellow card. Yellow cards are meaningless currently, professional fouls the advantage goes to the team that committs the foul. Time wasting, once the whistle is blown the only team that can then touch the is the team taking the throw in or kick. I would also replace yellow cards with 19 min sin bins as a deterrant. No manager with allow player to be taken of the pitch and clean up the game. Why is European referees better than English refs.
  6. If Arsenal win the final game they could have won the league in 8 different previous seasons with the 84 pts including the year city won. Yet the manager has to apologise for not winning the league, fans having a go at the players, commentators saying they bottled it. Not the fact they one of the top two teams in England, play good attacking football. You can say this about every club in England, supporters are never happy, look at Leicester we were league champions, finish 5th 2 years running and won trophies. Yet even at that time so called fans were calling for change in the manager because we didn't get 4th or won the league. Only 6 teams haven't be relegated from the premiership so the other 14 have ups and downs and could be relegated. Enjoy supporting Leicester and make the most of the good times because there will be as many not so good times.
  7. Ranieri OBE (Other Buggers Efforts). He rode the wave that Pearson created.
  8. Ranieri only won the league due to the foundations Pearson created at the end of the previous season with the team Pearson created. When Ranieri started to tinkle with the setup and add the players he brought in he failed misserably. So Pearson would win that one for me. For me the final should have been between O'Neil and Rogers. 2 of the most successful managers. The both built sides to succeed, maintain for a period, won trophies, took us into Europe and because of the miserable season Rogers had this year, I would give it to O'Neil because when he moved on we were 15th. My opinion only.
  9. Hi, Martin from Nuneaton here. Followed LCFC since the sixties, was a season ticket holder with my dad. Not been able to watch live (except on TV) for the past 15 years as I have moved around the country with work, but I am now retiring to nuneaton so hoping to watch more games.
