  1. So if he’s not going, why is he not in the squad today?
  2. Well done LCFC. Very important vaccinations that students would normally have had in school, can now be caught up on. This will reduce pressures on the immunisation teams and schools on return after the summer, as they will not need to have catch up sessions but can get on with the next phase of vaccinations. I think our club under the leadership of Vichai and Top, has been a role model to all other clubs in so many ways.
  3. He for me is the best right back in the league. Possibly the best in Europe. It will be hard to keep him I’m afraid. I just hope if we can offer Champions League that he’ll stay with us.
  4. Firstly can I say that I really do appreciate you are loyal fans that are trying to do your best to create an atmosphere. The TIFOS you have organised have been brilliant and you are doing great work in supporting food banks. Could I please, with the best intentions though, make a few suggestions. 1. If any other group/area of the Kop start a chant, join in. I have witnessed a number of occasions where UNION FS ignore the fact other fans are singing/chanting and they start up a different chant/song. 2. Please don’t use the drum on every chant/song (it really isn’t needed on some chants/songs). Also, once the song is dying down, don’t just keep on blindly drumming, this is often done (as said before) when another group of fans start singing/chanting. 3. Please, please, please, slow down. WYS has been butchered by the fact it is sung at 1,000mph (I appreciate UNION FS aren’t the first to have speeded up this classic, which many years ago was sung slowly, clearly and had a hand waving bit at the end which was unique). But it’s not just WYS that is sung at 1,000mph. The songs/chants just merge into an aural blur with the speed they’re sung at. The best songs/chants are the least complex and easy for fans to learn, for example the one for Caglar at the moment (which by coincidence is not sung at 1,000mph and so easy to join in with). i genuinely admire your enthusiasm/loyalty and attempts to give the ground a better atmosphere, I am simply putting to you that these three pointers may help you further. keep up the cracking work 👍💙⚽️
  5. I played for Glenfield under 14’s against Tilton on the Hill back in 1973. We won 26-1. How they got one I can’t remember! I got a triple Hat-Trick (9 goals!). I remember I got my name in the Sporting Buff, back then it was produced by the Mercury and came out on a Saturday evening with the days results from the big leagues. It was then filled with reports on local league and youth league games from the week before. Like the Sporting blue did, the kids/youth leagues would get a general write up with the odd game commented on. I was chuffed I got a mention but a bit pissed off they spelt my name wrong 😂
  6. Sorry about this folks, forgot to ask Ausden Clarke. Getting one of their coaches to Wembley tomorrow, first time with them (usually drive but thought I’d be lazy tomorrow). Can you park at the Odeon or do people park at the King Power?
  7. I can’t believe that one of the earlier posts actually said that not having the distraction of the cups was a good thing! Give me an FA cup victory over 7th in the league anytime. If you win the cup, that is there in the record books for ever. The memory of winning at Wembley will be with you for the rest of your life. In 30 years time no one will go “oh do you remember when we were 7th”. I think at times we’re playing some good football, we seem to be just a couple players short of being a really decent team. Yes we are definitely one of those ‘middle league’ teams (7th to 12th). Yes if we focussed on the League cup and FA cup it may mean we are more likely to end at the bottom of that ‘middle’ table. SO WHAT if it means we end up in a cup final?! And let’s be honest, we got very close in the League cup. now we are out of them! Now we have to keep up decent form right through to the end of the season! Consistent for another 17 games, rather than a few one of games in the cups. I know it’s all about opinions, but there you go, I want us to win the FA cup before I die, selfish maybe, but after the brilliant Premier League winning season, it’s the League Cup wins and Play off wins ( along with the great escape season) that I remember the most!
  8. Aren’t opinions bizarre. With regards Puel, who knows what’s best. At times I think, let’s have a change but at other times I think, we’re not far off being a decent team and he will give youth a chance. If he goes, who do we realistically get? I’m just not sure. But with regards Albrighton !? he was appalling in the Cardiff game! Don’t get me wrong, any member of the team that created the greatest memory of my life is a god and always will be. But he was appalling against Cardiff. And although Gray was no better, he does have a touch of skill in his locker that he can occasionally pull out.
  9. This. Come on you miserable lot, at least give him a chance. We were never going to find someone with Mahrez’s stats. Therefore we now have Maddison as a playmaker and this new fella will along with Gray, Albrighton and Diabate be used on the wing. Will this all work? I hope so, I’ll give it a chance and see.
  10. These last few seasons have been a real fun ride for different reasons. Championship win, The Great Escape, Premier League Champions, Champions League Season. Altough this season hasn’t been as bad as some make out, I think it is time for a re-build. Simpson had the season of his life when we won the title, unfortunately now he’s passed it. Schimichael (I can never spell his name, is that right?), is too inconsistent, the howler today was ridiculous. Morgan, thanks for all the great years, but your best is now well in the past. Chilwell? Too lightweight and I just don’t think he’ll develop any further. Allbrighton, like Morgan and Simpson, he will have my undying gratitude for giving me the greatest year of my life, but he’s done now. Ibhorra, just not good enough. Okazaki, love the character that he is, but if he is our 2nd best striker I’m worried. James, championship player. Amartey, championship player. Silva, worth sticking with. Vardy still a premier league scorer. Maguire developing into a class defender. N’didi excellent (will we keep him?). Ienacho, worth developing? Possibly. Dragovic, worth sticking with. Diabate, a bit lightweight but I think worth holding onto to see how another season goes. Mahrez, Cheerio, thanks for everything, one of Leicester City’s best ever players. In my 57 years of watching football I have never seen a player control a ball as well as Mahrez. I’ve watched the under 23’s a few times and there are certainly a few in there worth giving a go. Sorry crap with names, but there is a tall defender that looks a good potential partner for Maguire. It will be a real shame to miss out on the Europa League, let’s hope the players pull their fingers out and give it a real go for the last 6 games (especially next week against Burnley).
  11. I think we need to win them both if we seriously want a chance of being 7th. N’didi out for both these games will be a big miss!
  12. We’ll miss N’didi badly for the next two games. i hope he plays Silva rather than James.
