Right, but JT would come in as a "designated player", so he'd probably make > £40k a week in America.
-
The twat's comment assumes we are willing to pay a certain level of wage for him, but I doubt we would. I'd rather not sign old shite for depth.

Just as fair as Spurs and Arsenal merging to form the North London Arsecocks.

Scary stuff for Konchesky... good to see he wasn't severely injured http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/513936/leicester-city-premier-league-Paul-Konchesky-car-crash-qpr-west-ham-fulham-liverpool

Obviously not happening, but part of me is curious if we get bumped to big-time NBC this weekend. Won't happen, but interesting thought?

Exactly. Atleti manage just fine. You need to have the infrastructure and the leadership in place, and build from there. Our club has those things.

Here's the original article (en français): http://www.mensquare.com/onzemondial/etranger/129983-exclu-interview-mahrez-magazine-301-leicester-france-psg-om The translation might be just a bit embellished, haha. It's more, "Now that I'm with Leicester, I could care less about playing for l'OM."

When this Mahrez interview airs, can someone post it (don't know if I can watch from US)? Thanks! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10245045/riyad-mahrez-the-passion-and-tragedy-behind-leicester-star

From another American outlet, we're front-banner home-page material on ESPN. A big deal.

That was literally the first thing I thought of. Furthest from the truth. Same goes for Lineker being the best-ever City player.

The basketball analytics community has researched this pretty comprehensively, and it's been shown that 3-pointers are higher value shots (well duh, but hear out rest of my sentence) than 2-pointers after you consider probabilities of said shots being made. I.e., the expected value of a 3-pointer is higher than the expected value of a 2-pointer. So roster construction has shifted towards acquiring players who have those as strengths, players who can shoot 3-pointers at a high clip and/or make high-probability layups often (e.g. LeBron James, Westbrook). I figure similar research is starting to develop in football in terms of, say, how our back-line is constructed. Back when Rob MacKenzie was here, he said a quote along the lines of "we want experienced, physical defenders" and that's why they targeted Wasyl. They've since continued this philosophy in pairing Wes and Huth together, and have adjusted tactics to encourage crosses, etc.

Doubt they'd be amenable to selling Josip Ilicic if this leaves a bitter taste...
