We go out and think ‘how can we waste the most money in the shortest space of time?’

What’s the plan for the next five games
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to JimmyC74's topic in Leicester City Forum
My hope is to try and salvage an ounce of self respect and not be a total embarrassment (we already are, but I mean in this 5 game run). The reality I’m sure will continue to be a total calamity on the pitch, and Top, Rudkin and Board members being tone deaf and literally deaf to any of our concerns. Only a matter of time before we need to escalate our concerns from a few meek ‘Rudkin out’ chants to full on protests and dog muck throwing. -
Even Morecambe FC board of directors have put a statement out, and they are in a much bigger predicament than we are. Written in a nice tone and heartfelt, perhaps the mugs at our club should take note https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2025/april/22/club-statement/

It irks me because Emery was brought to Villa when we were level on points with them (or maybe above them slightly?). Their trajectory and ours since just shows what can happen with good decision-making. Some of us were also calling for us to make a change at that time as well given it was going stale under Rodgers.

What did he say? I’m guessing Emery is responding to what Watkins said after the Newcastle game?

“Yea I’m not my father, but so what…”

The longer this over promoted clown has keys to the club the longer the connection between club and fans will be divided. After listening to Branston on BSLB, clearly you can’t call into question his job in building the academy. He’s clearly very good at it. He’s clearly not very good at all or most of the other roles he does. He has overseen such a mess. Would he accept his role just covering the academy? I wouldn’t have thought so. He needs to go. Divided clubs tend only to go in one direction, and it ain’t up.

brilliant. Where is this from?

Relegation Post Mortem 2025 Starts Here.
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I’d love to get in a time machine and travel to the year 2055, because around 20-30 years is the time when it becomes acceptable for those who were there to talk about what happened. Although to be fair I see Fryatt is talking openly about the madness of the Holloway spell, so maybe we’ll only have to wait 17 years or so. -
And one of those was against Walsall (?) in the league cup. If not them then someone of that ilk.

Comedy Highlights Of A Terrible Season

Can someone more tech savvy than me create a montage of all the bad defending and cock ups? I guess 2/3 would be Justin related. -

You’ve sort of captured it, but players not trying (I’m thinking Everton away) should make it in there. I saw players not engaging or moving toward the ball, or even trying. It’s about as traumatic as it gets for a football supporter. -
Ask yourself whether you want to be promoted? If we are it is likely that nothing major will have changed. We’ll still have people in and around the set up who have been responsible for it all. I never thought I would say this, but part of me wants to go through the league or spend a few years there so we can have the root and branch clear out that we need.

Ex Players - They used to play for us

Hadn’t scored in 12 prior to that and that’s probably why we sold him. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
If it’s true that Ruud has no relegation clause that is just yet another example of beyond weak negotiating from Rudkin et al. Baffling. -
This has stopped us from offloading those who haven’t succeeded here for years. We over pay in wages, in some cases massively. I read Soumare was on £15-20k a week at Lille, and comes in here straight on £60-70k plus. Idiotic and sickening. I get that if a few clubs are interested that bumps the cost up, but surely it gets to the point where you need to walk away.

From the last few games it’s quite clear that players aren’t passing to him. His reaction to being subbed yesterday said to me he’s using these last few games to say goodbye, and I think it’s probably time (though tempted to say he can do a job in the Championship, but on a fraction of his current wage).
-
In reality I don’t think there will be much of a rebuild - it will be more like the last time we went down. Only a few these players will be wanted by other clubs, and we’ve given such big contracts that the others will stay or a few will be loaned out. And I can’t see Top making the changes we need or selling up. Grim.

Did it happen? I didn’t see it -
Loads of them on show today. To say we’ve been relegated officially it was embarrassing. We played well today - well ok - as if that is some sort of reason to write off everything that’s happened before…

Expectation and entitlement.
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to João Miguel da Cunha's topic in Leicester City Forum
If Villa in 5 years time are where we are I think outsiders would have a different view. It’s got little to do with the size of the club or our place in the natural order of things, it’s about the mismanagement and not being able to build on this period of success we’ve had. I would have had no issue if we had made competent decisions and used our success to be a mid table PL side, but we’ve collapsed in such a short period of time - 3 years ago playing in a European Semi Final to now being relegated for the second time. This has happened because of hugely poor decisions, handing out big contracts to crap, spending too much and snookering us financially - how does anyone think that is remotely acceptable? How can it brushed off with “oh that’s just where Leicester belong…” - doing that means no one can be held accountable for it all. Interesringly, I was chatting to a Sheffield Weds fan the other day who listened to me talk about some of this, and he said “it’s not that bad, and is it entitled?” No it’s not - I’m not entitled and think we have a god given right to be a top PL club. But I do think we have the right to think we should make AT LEAST competent decisions about recruitment, structure and personnel. -
Is this the thread to raise how ridiculous it now is to set a new audio file that I downloaded as ringtone on an iPhone? Unless I’m missing something it just seems unnecessarily difficult, and I’ve sort of given up (not helped by not being able to find my old laptop charging cable that my iTunes is on).

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Derby County based on the first half hour against Luton are absolutely dreadful. No game plan, no nothing. They’re just getting bullied off the pitch by another really poor team who have been able to string some passes together and launch it route one. The pitch is dreadful as well. I look forward to seeing this level next season!
