  1. I don't think Ruud gives a **** about long term club prospects. He knows he's going and doesn't care. He'll pick the same useless line up he has been and we just have to hope we might manage a goal at some point.
  2. Sky absolutely banging the top 5 race drum now that every other part of the league is already wrapped up.
  3. I think you probably get the parachute payments window to have a good crack at getting up and re-establishing yourself. Beyond that it starts to become very difficult and you end up like Norwich, Watford, West Brom.
  4. Dyche!? Do people think we've been too attacking this season or something?
  5. Would happily lose the other 4 games if we could just get a result at Forest.
  6. What an awful side this Spurs team are. Ange doing a shit job.
  7. Josh Brownhill has this afternoon scored his 16th goal of the season, from midfield. We'll be fine. We'll be in the promotion mix.
  8. Whoever the new striker we get in is.
  9. I think if Leeds, Burnley, and Sheff U go up then we'll be looking at top 3. The gap being big was a negative this season, but it's a positive on the way back down.
  10. Looks like it could be the first season since 16/17 where the 17th placed club finishes the season with 40+ points. Promoted clubs are going to need someone in the Prem to drop a bollock.
  11. Ah fair enough. Didn't realise that. Like him as a manager πŸ‘πŸ»
  12. Football side of the club needs ripping up. There could still be the bones of something good there if we do this. - get in a dof with a long term vision. Dof dictates transfers, not managers. No dumb wages and contracts either. - focus on buying young up and coming talent with resale value. 4-5 year contracts and when there is 3 years left decide whether it's an extension or a sell. - I said before I wouldn't mandate academy players in the squad but I take that back: 2 academy products in every league game squad, 5 in every league cup game squad. This path needs to exist. We should be seen as a club who nurtures and promotes youth and makes the best of our facilities. - invest in scouting and stats side of the club. I think we need to resist short term fixes for this. It might mean a longer break from the Prem but I think we'd be on surer footing when we do return.
  13. I don't think he's shown that much in the Prem to be honest. Interest from abroad maybe, but I don't think I'd be hugely sad if we made some money on him. Think he'd do very well in the Champ though.
  14. Even if you take Coopers games at face value and say we'd have continued at that rate, we'd be on 27/28 points now, finishing the season 31/32. So better, but still just a different shade of relegated. There were mitigating circumstances to the Cooper hire with a presumed points deduction incoming, the Ruud hire was an awful mistake at a time when the right appointment would have given us a fighting chance.
  15. A Spurs win tonight would round off a very bad weekend for Forest.
  16. Said before, we need to go into this season bold, with the intention to bully the league. No pragmatic approach, go out with intent to destroy teams. Tons of goals, flair, aggression. Don't think Dyche, or Martin would be right for this, even though both would probably get us promoted. I like the idea of Rohl though there's the danger that it's too big a job for him. Also like Cifuentes for Champ experience though he hasn't kicked on with QPR this season. Rosenior is also a decent shout I think.
  17. Didn't let them hit that big diagonal to Salah all afternoon and defended really well. Should be our starting LB next season.
  18. I think it's still rectifiable for Top if he instills some accountability on the football side of things. He doesn't have to be super close to stuff if he doesn't want to but continued failures cannot go without repercussions.
  19. I think given the reminder of the season is moot, I'd take confirmation that Ruud will step down following the Bournemouth game.
  20. No Liverpool title today then. Glad, the focus can be on us and our relegation. Hope Sky give it the dressing down it deserves.
  21. Ruud has been too bad to stick with. We need a fresh start with fresh ideas. Would like us to go for a younger manager who might be a bit riskier, though suspect we'll get a "safe" option to manage what should be one of the better squads in the division.
  22. I think it ****ed us in a few ways: 1. Immediately killed any positive vibes. We were right back to dreading the season and had no positive carry over. 2. Transfer window would have been much better under Enzo. 3. Timing was awful. We all thought a points deduction was incoming and this limited our options, culminating in two awful appointments. I actually don't think Enzo would have kept us up but I think we'd be in a better place than we are now and the season might have had some positives. It's not an excuse for those in charge though.
  23. He should be picking up minutes each week now. Fans get to see a youngster who seems less fearful than other players, and we may bump up whatever fee we get. No brainer.
  24. It's basically impossible for someone to be worse. Get rid.
  25. A full season of Ruud and we probably would have broken Derby's record. So at least there's that.
