  1. Yeah they must see something in him.
  2. All depends if he goes to Bristol City and gets injured again and doesn't play any games I don't see anyone being willing to pay money for him and more crucially pay him the wages Leicester pay him. It might be a case in that scenario where he ends up being perenially loaned out. Hopefully that isn't the case though and he kicks on at Bristol City.
  3. Based on nothing my hunch is Vestegaard.
  4. That’s what I read, once you guys secure the CB cover he’ll be away.
  5. Going to Bristol City on loan today it seems
  6. It's the Bielsa thing, Pep has always modeled himself and his approach to the game on Bielsa as has Rodgers. Rodgers has spoke a lot about the Bielsa influence on him in the past.
  7. Oi least we have a title race this season I know it's the first time in 9 years we've had one but still I get your overall point though, the overall competitiveness in the league is dwindling, there is a gap forming between the top two and the rest.
  8. I think the more pertinent question is to ask why he's never had a run of games, under several managers and that's the thing that will solve the riddle of Demari Gray. Not good enough for where you are just now and certainly not good enough for where your headed as a club.
  9. I hate it, has got worse since Pep arrived at Man City, they are terrible for it and it's something that should be clamped down on imo. I'm not in favour of sin bins in general but something like that would stamp it out.
  10. Looking from the outside in obviously here but it strikes me as a kind of Ajax model on a grander scale in terms of finance, in the main adopt a clever recruitment strategy where you sign young, hungry, largely unknown quantities for relatively low sums and sell them on for 2 or 3 times what you paid. That sort of clever recruitment strategy could financially keep you on the tails of the top 6 clubs who organically generate a lot more money than Leicester traditionally via larger stadiums, greater global exposure and regular income from European competition. The upshot of that strategy working would be to disrupt the traditional top 6 and turn it into a top 7, similar from when it evolved from a top 4 to a top 6. Given the above model there will always be seasons and periods of transition where you have to rebuild to some degree but if the model works bad seasons will be a 7th placed finish and the good ones a 4th placed (or higher) finish with Champions league football. The ambition must be competing in European football on a regular basis, season in, season out. Absolutely no reason why Leicester can’t be a Sevilla type club on a European level.
  11. Doucoure is a superb player I’d imagine Watford would want top dollar for him though. He also seems to play a bit further forward these days also, not as advanced as Maddison but not far off it.
  12. The problem with a third striker is no striker worth their salt is going to come and play third fiddle behind Vardy and Iheancho. Being a third striker in a side who typically plays with only one striker is going to be in the position where they’ll hardly pay. If push came to shove Perez could play there in an emergency scenario. The most realistic option would be to sign a wide player who’s comfortable playing through the middle on occasion or signing/promoting a very young player who needs a couple of years to develop before they are knocking on the door in terms of being ready to play regularly.
  13. Hadn’t ever even heard of this lad but looks and sounds like a beast, sort of signing you should be all over. Guys like this is where the value is and not £40-50m on the Lewis Dunk’s of this world.
  14. Never realised the Hibs legend (being serious lol) used to be a Leicester player!
  15. Never seen it with this guy, never watched him once and been impressed, the very definition of someone who flatters to deceive, would be amazed if he ever made it at Leicester, a championship player if ever there was one.
  16. I doubt he'd go somewhere he's not going to be first choice which is his current problem at Milan, furthermore I don't think you need him given you have Vardy and Nacho who is getting better all the time. Spending the money being quoted for Piatek and not on a winger would be sacrilege imo.
  17. Barnes is still young and still developing, he's not played a full season of EPL football yet and is delivering half-decent numbers this season. If you want to ever see if he can develop into a top player you'll need to be patient with him. I don't watch Leicester every week but I've seen a fair bit of him and I've watched three games in the last number of weeks and he's affected them all in a very good way with goals and assists, give him time. It's not Barnes fault you don't have the required depth out wide, if you did it would be easier to deal with the inevitable bouts of inconsistency from him as he develops. He's got all the raw attributes to be a very good player.
  18. Reading that ticks all the boxes Rodgers seems to always look for in centre backs, he's huge on that bringing the ball out from the back and breaking the midfield lines thing.
  19. Really not much happening this window at all, possibly the quietest transfer window there's been yet across the board.
  20. Using the handball decisions already given this season by VAR as a benchmark it was an absolute disgrace no penalty was given last night.
  21. Although not an in your face, shouting at folk to gee them up type of leader I’d say Vardy is a leader in so much that he leads by example and with him in the side the other players will feel they have a chance against anyone. I get your point though, I think centre back through to the middle of the park there’s a real general type personality missing in there. Soyuncu looks like he could develop into that sort of personality mind you. Take the above with a pinch of salt obviously given I don’t watch the team week in week out.
  22. I do think terms like “bottling” it are a bit strong. The disappointing thing for me was I hoped the second-half would be an onslaught on the Villa goal and it never really transpired that way. Yes there were a couple of periods of pressure in there in the second-half but it required real gung-ho levels of dominance and that never came.
  23. I’m hoping being down there in a more competitive league where teams and managers are smarter and your style of play gets found out and counteracted quickly will lead to him being less stubborn on this front and changing it up. There wasn’t the same onus on him having to do it up here because despite it being a problem at times we still absolutely wiped the floor domestically and were hugely successful.
