  1. Was sent off 4 or 5 times last season up here and two so far this season so on track for the same again this season and like you say would be the same down in England. There's a reason Rangers have had one bid of 3m euros from him from Bordeaux so far and that's it, the guy is a head case.
  2. Well the official club account tweeted pics of him wishing him a happy birthday yesterday and Lawell to my surprise waxed lyrical about him at our last AGM in November there. I don't think Celtic would be any less willing to do a deal on a player with Leicester than with any other club if they were resigned to the player going. In fact I'd argue the opposite would be the case given how swiftly Leicester paid Rodgers and his entire team's release clause for £9m mid-season when they could have waited until the summer and paid half of that. Morelos is a walking time bomb, I'd steer well clear, he also needs 2 or 3 chances to score one goal, he'll not get that in the EPL.
  3. Edouard and Bergwijn are different sorts of players, the latter is a natural wide player whilst Eddy is a centre forward who could play out on the left at a push. To sign him and play him as a winger would be daft however.
  4. We regularly pay loan fees for players, I believe we payed a loan fee last time when we had him for the season and Roberts cost us over £3m in loan fees the 2.5 years we had him. Not to mention others like Burke, Weah, etc. Very rarely nowadays do players get players on loan without paying a fee, even if it's in terms of penalties if players don't play the requisite number of games like Liverpool do with a lot of young players particularly.
  5. Yeah that's why I said I'd be quite surprised.
  6. Lennon was asked about him yesterday and didn’t rule it out, would be quite surprised if anything materialised though.
  7. Lol Yeah see my post on the Bergwein thread, posted it on there by accident instead of this thread. He was utterly majestic today, a real privilege to see in the flesh.
  8. Feck just realised I posted this on wrong thread Meant to post on the Edouard thread obviously, apologies.
  9. I know I know people will say it’s the Scottish league, it’s Ross County, etc, etc and that’s fine I understand. However, today Edouard was absolutely majestic, he was rested and came off the bench after an hour and put the game out of sight on his own. I’m going to savour and enjoy every moment of him until he inevitably leaves for the next step in his career. Best striker we’ve had since Larsson.
  10. If Palace are able to afford him as reported then I don’t see why Leicester shouldn’t be able to also.
  11. It’s called panicking with a week left of the window.
  12. I’m hearing it’s actually Dion Dublin
  13. Be hilarious to see Slimani at Man Utd, a mark of just how far they have fallen, a diddy club. Thing is it could get a whole lot worse for them with Rashford out, he has been carrying them the last few months.
  14. Antonio would be a decent squad player imo, mainly due to his versatility and his physicality, giving you something a bit different but I think a bit of perspective is needed here, he’ll not really improve your first XI. Carrasco imo very much would, a guy who can get into the Belgian side, especially in the attacking positions is not to be sniffed at. When you then consider the fact you can try before you buy in terms of loaning him initially if reports are to be believed then it’s an absolute no brainier of a signing imo.
  15. If he goes to Palace on loan and I was a Leicester fan I'd be pretty upset tbh, that is an absolute no brainer of a signing and surely he'd much rather go to Leicester than Palace. Getting him on loan first completely removes the risk from any potential permanent transfer. The guy is a regular in perhaps the best international side on the planet at the moment, even when playing in China. You are crying out for strengthening out wide just now.
  16. A fair point but it's not always the case and as black and white as that, look at Axel Witsel for example who has come back to Europe and flourished. The fact he's in China may be the very reason Carrasco is attainable for you guys at the moment, had he still been at Atletico or moved to a similar level of club he'd probably have been out of reach.
  17. He’s still a good age so his motivation should be fine, this is one you should be all over imo.
  18. Everton Soares? He stole the show in the summer's Copa America just past for Brazil, he's a wide player though and although he's not moved yet I'd expect him to move soon, he's small and slight but looked very good. Arsenal and Everton have been linked with him.
  19. If Chilwell was still bombed out then I'd think there was more to it and would be curious as to why he missed the session but the fact he was back in last night suggests like others have said he's simply missed the session without a valid excuse and perhaps this has happened more than once and why Rodgers has decided to bring the hammer down. Get the feeling people are over analysing and looking for something that isn't there.
  20. Argentinian midfielders in particular are bad for that, the sort of midfielders they produce are now pretty much obsolete at the top level of the modern game as you need to be far more than just a playmaker. Even in recent years that's why guys like Aimar, Banega, Gago and even Riquelme to an extent failed to realise their potential.
  21. Was the "misdemeanour" not them simply missing an important tactical session as Rodgers said the other night?
  22. Which is part of developing a player, a lot of the time the mental side of things is far harder to coach/ingrain than the physical.
  23. I like Antonio, although not the easiest on the eye he's a very effective player and hard working and can also play in several positions.
  24. The Rodgers effect that! That’s his biggest asset imo, taking players and developing them, when he arrived at Celtic there was 2 or 3 everyone would have chased out the door themselves then a year later they were world beaters (for us anyway), Armstrong, Forrest and McGregor the most obvious ones.
  25. At his best at City he played high up as a 9 a lot in place of Aguero, admittedly I’ve not see too much of him since he’s been at Leicester. Agree in general though there’s defo a player in there. Needs to start showing it consistently soon though or it’ll be wasted potential.
