  1. The other way of looking at that is scraping wins when your not playing well is the mark of a championship winning side.
  2. Should be absolutely hammering the mob, a honking side, score early and they’ll collapse. Let’s hope they don’t sack Silva before then
  3. Can’t see it myself tbh, looks like all the stars are aligning for them this season.
  4. Mark of champions getting results like they've been having recently, last minute winners when not playing well. You could deliver the EPL trophy to Anfield just now imo, it's they're year this year by the looks of things.
  5. Like you say this is the absolute key thing.
  6. That was a superb result today, games like that, away to stuffy sides like Brighton, the sort of game you are expected to win are quite often the biggest banana skins.
  7. Yeah Kane is a top top striker, as far as traditional number 9's go it's a hard ask to argue that there is anyone better. I don't think he'd got to another English team mind you, if he were to leave it would have to be abroad imo, most likely Madrid. On another note, hope West Ham hump them tomorrow. Mourinho is an utter twat of a man.
  8. Given the daft arse left it lying around his vacated flat and it was in the front page of the papers as a result then his list was very much public knowledge. That said, although we took our time over it we had an excellent summer window, in fact the only good window we'd had in the time of him arriving and leaving the club!
  9. Would make sense. What worries me is that if we have a genuine interest then we are still working from that charlatan Congerton's list even though he is now gone. Saving grace could be if Leicester and Newcastle's interest is genuine he'll go to one of those clubs lol!
  10. His base is there, that's where his and his wife's main residence is now, has been since he left Liverpool and rented out his house to Klopp, Leicester aside obviously.
  11. Tbf to him, as much as I was gutted when he left I don't think you can say this about him. He was at Celtic almost three years which is probably about the average for a manager at a club these days and at Liverpool for I think nearly four before that. With the benefit of hindsight it was probably the right time for him to leave both clubs also, he had a fractuous relationship with both boards and both clubs probably needed a fresh pair of eyes. I would have been surprised if he took the Spurs job anyway in all honesty, the danger I'd think would be if Chelsea or a top four club in Spain came along. I'd also naturally discount Arsenal as a threat also however someone who worked for him told me he was quite vocal about jumping at the chance to manage Arsenal, for what exact reason I don't know.
  12. I wouldn't write Benkovic off just yet, given him missing pre-season Rodgers is usually very careful with young players in this way or players he wants to change their game to make an impact on the side. There were several examples of this at Celtic, Boyata who was left out in the cold until November in his first season and then went on to become our number 1 centre back throughout the rest of Rodgers time at Celtic, Armstrong was similar in that he only started becoming a regular in the second half of Rodgers first season and latterly Ryan Christie who was loaned out twice and left kicking his heels on the bench for a good while before getting his chance.
  13. There's always a bitter minority at every club though that's my point! Even on here when Rodgers arrived there were loads of people harping on as it being payback for us taking O'Neill all those years ago for example!
  14. Away you go lol! Every single club's fans are bitter and disappointed for while when they lose one of their heroes, Leicester, Celtic and every club in the land!
  15. Can see Jose demanding loads of money to spend if he took it which Levy wouldn’t be too enthusiastic about you’d imagine.
  16. Ignore the daily record, the very definition of a gutter rag. I’d actually take that as a good sign that he won’t go.
  17. Could have been worse, you could have been in Manchester in 2008
  18. Said it previously but heard from fairly reliable sources Rodgers and Gerrard have very little time for one another. Gerrard however is very good friends with your reserve team coach though so thats likely where the link comes from.
  19. Pacific Shelf was an incubator company that was used when Celtic changed from a private company to a publicly listed PLC when Fergus McCann floated the club publicly. It's common practice when companies go from private to public. If you look on companies house at Celtic PLC's date of incorporation it will say 1887, if you look at the Rangers International Football club's equivalent it says 2012, when they were brought into existence. Fergus McCann saved us from extinction, liquidation and paid all our debts (including face painters). Shareholders that were shareholders prior to the takeover retained their shares, Celtic retained their players. Rangers were liquidated, all shares turned to dust and all players were allowed to leave for free if they wished instead of Tupeing to the new club. Yes I wore my poppy all of last week. This is the last I have to say on the matter.
  20. It's strange how you all got your knickers in a twist about that article in the times (which has since been quashed by HMRC as a nonsense) last week if a holding company is such a trivial entity. Walter Smith, the new Rangers, your own club legend. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9342251/Rangers-in-crisis-Walter-Smith-statement-in-full.html
  21. What's the deal with King? Admittedly not seen much of him ever but he got hyped up quite a bit on here when he signed for Rangers but isn't even making the match day squad.
