  1. Hmm it's a good and a bad question that one, if that makes sense. We play so many matches and get so many injuries that we very rarely have a full complement of players to choose from at any one point in time. I'll have a bash though. Hart Juranovic Carter-Vickers Starfelt Taylor McGregor Hatate O'Riley Abada Kyogo Jota Obvious area we need to upgrade in the summer is at left back. If we can also keep Carter-Vickers and Jota then our squad is looking really strong.
  2. Yeah far deeper than that, half their board resigned, sponsors ditched them, a lot of their players in the woman's team resigned also.
  3. McCoist is a great pundit tbf even though he broke my heart growing up!
  4. No tears here! only had to turn up for 45 minutes tonight! just the three goals!
  5. He’s also referred to as “beast” and other terms I wouldn’t want to put on a public forum.
  6. Yeah of course, either way it’s a gamble though.
  7. Yeah this summer Goldson. McGregor, Balogun, Arfield and Davis. Next summer Aribo, Kent, Morelos and Helander.
  8. Absolute short termism. Looks great if it works and they win the league and get the £30-40m CL bounty. If they don't however they are up sh!t creek financially again, with an ageing squad and most sellable assets with only a year to go on their deal come the summer.
  9. Nah doubt it, wasn't like his funeral was in Glasgow or anything.
  10. At the Celtic match today, seen him going in the front door about an hour ago. Wonder what the occasion is.
  11. Spurs dodged a bullet with Traore if you ask me.
  12. You can't recall outside a transfer window.
  13. Christ. Rodgers v Gerrard Rodgers is in a different stratosphere from Gerrard as a manager. He was up here for 3.5 years and won one trophy and blew an absolute open goal at the chance of a treble. If Rodgers had remained in Scotland he wouldn't even have won that.
  14. I loved Rodgers at Celtic have some of the best memories I've had as a Celtic fan in his time here, but the thought of asking him to go in deep in the transfer market and conducting a rebuild terrifies me.
  15. Yeah there a league two side in name only, given their manager, they're playing staff and budget they are probably a league 1 or bottom end championship side in terms of finance, playing staff, etc. I don't think there is too much animosity towards them as there are a few teams in the lower leagues in Scotland doing the same thing and throwing a lot of money at their respective projects, Cove Rangers and Queens Park are the other two obvious examples.
  16. Yeah a very pertinent example that.
  17. It's not stopped Man City spending literally a billion quid under Pep, the whole thing is a token measure and verging on a scam. It was designed to stop exactly the sort of thing City are doing yet they continue to get away with and it's lesser European sides in Turkey etc that end up getting slapped with bans.
  18. This is spot on. There are guys in the Scottish top flight earning £500 per week and things like that, it was even less when Hamilton were in the league. Players will earn more, in average terms, excluding the old firm national league sides in England in a lot of cases.
  19. Yeah that's exactly it, these strikers that Hibs produce from Edinburgh seem to be lacking something mentally and never fulfil their potential, Riordan, O'Connor and now Griffiths. Fletcher the exception but he's a Glasgow boy. Riordan particularly could have been frightening if he applied himself. Got banned from every pub and club in Edinburgh for two years at one point.
  20. Yeah they had a whole host of great players in that side. Thing is, the one who had the most ability out of them all, Riordan should have done so much more with his career.
  21. Yeah about the same to Burnley as far as I can remember, about £4m.
