  1. There's not a cat's hell in chance Aberdeen are getting near £10m for any of their players, no matter how good they are. £4-6m is spot on.
  2. £4m will get him, absolute peanuts in EPL terms.
  3. He's technically so good he could perform very well in that role.
  4. Elmas is a different type of player to Tielemans, he's more advanced, if looking for a comparison think Maddison.
  5. About 80k a week should do it, that would double his money from what he reportedly currently earns. Not earth shattering in EPL terms that wage.
  6. For £15m this is a no brainer, peanuts in EPL terms and there is a lot of scope for development and already a productive member of the squad.
  7. Every signing is a gamble, regardless of age, the club or league they are coming from. Leicester have a great model that works and should stick with it, it's the only way to outperform clubs with far more resources on a semi-consistent basis. Fofana is the classic example, Fofana wa the epitome and young and raw and to a large extent unproven but look at how that's turned out, exceptional. Trust the process.
  8. Tielemans when he arrived was pretty raw and had failed at Monaco. Leicester can't buy a player of similar quality to the player Tielemans has become, off the shelf. The clever thing is to stick to a model that works and sign the player that can become the next Tielemans, not the guy who already is, he would be too expensive and probably wouldn't even be interested in coming.
  9. Ridiculous comment in all honesty.
  10. He's great but I think he;d be out of reach, his next move will be to one of the big boys I expect, Bayern, Liverpool or someone like that.
  11. Nah he's got 18 months to go. If Rangers had any sense they'd sell him in this window to some panic merchant mob like Newcastle to maximise his value. Come the summer clubs will be able to get him for nothing in the following window.
  12. Aribo the last 12 months has pushed his game to another level, he is a very decent player. Lovely touch and moves about the pitch well. With what he may cost and whether he'd improve the Leicester first eleven I'm not sure I'd see the sense in this happening. It's probably just paper talk to whip up EPL interest I imagine. There are a number of EPL clubs he'd be a very astute signing for though.
  13. This is the danger in terms of recruitment I pointed out way back when. There's no bones about it, it's a serious flaw of his, he's just not very good at it. Whether that's purely down to him or his partner in crime is another discussion entirely. I always said Congerton and Rodgers ineptness in the transfer market wouldn't be a problem if they were integrated inside Leicester's already fruitful model. The problem seems to be as you allude to @Ric Flair is that they have been allowed to go off piste from that lately.
  14. I'd love to see evidence of this.
  15. He still needs 3 or 4 chances to score a goal though and that wouldn't wash at EPL level. Furthermore, he's overweight. Weirdly it helps him up here to bully defenders physically but in the EPL where most centre backs are 6ft 5, athletic and strong as an ox he'd really struggle imo. There's a reason he's been at Rangers so long and there's only been one sort of bid of any note. Not even close to being good enough for Leicester imo.
  16. Absolutely no chance he ends up at Man Utd imo.
  17. FFS! He must have serious dirt on someone. Aah well, bang goes Atalanta's recent success and shrewd operating in the transfer market.
  18. Was there chatter of him leaving? Please say yes.
  19. Umtiti has Newcastle written all over it. Overpaid, inury prone, desperate, panic buy of a signing.
