  1. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  2. WyScout! Celtic decided to use that exclusively and pay off a load of scouts in the process. Fckin idiots.
  3. I thnk he deserves it given his form this season, he has been excellent and I was sceptical of whether he'd be good enough afer waching him post lockdown last season. I reckon Southgate will go with Chilwell and Shaw though.
  4. Tbh this has been the case since the 80's and will always be the case. As long as Celtic and Rangers stick around these clubs will continue to limp on though.
  5. This is about the size of it. I'm loathed to use the term 'big club' as I feel it's such a misnomer nowadays but if I do Celtic are of course historically a big club, have a global fan base, etc, etc. How much that matters now in modern football I'm not so sure. The sole barometer for success in football nowadays is typically how much money you can generate or throw at building a team/club (see Chelsea, Man City, PSG, etc). With the brand that is the premier league we can't compete with any club that is in it, purely by association and the wealth that comes with it. What is it £100m in TV money for winning the EPL versus £2.5m for winning the SPFL. It's daft to even compare Celtic with any EPL clubs when you think about it.
  6. Sorry but both of your posts are absolute nonsense There's too much for me to go through to even try and begin to pick it apart. A football fan who doesn't know who Andy Robertson is and 'Henrek Larsen' Sam McGinn
  7. I think that may be comparing apples and oranges though with Red Bull. They are the dominant side in their league by a distance and as such can afford to blood more raw younger players and let them make mistakes before they become polished and sell them off. They also have Liefering in the same domestic set-up which helps that transition further. What you term not overly adventerous, another could term risk adverse and strategic. The ask at Leicester is far more cut throat and immediate, particularly now being a top 4 side, there's less scope to do what Red Bull do. The norm is now signing guys for £15-30m and sellng them for double that for Leicester, that's the only way to compete at the top end and still turn over players. That's the whole point in such a model, so you can move up the tiers as you reinvest the revenue and get a better quality of player that you can then sell on for even more. The idea of signing guys from Poland, Bulgaria, etc is a nice idea but the reality is, in the environment Leicester compete in, for every one that is a success you'll get 10 that aren't. Look at recent examples where Leicester have done this, Kaputska, Benkovic, you could even say Kramaric. There's a reason guys from these leagues look for a stepping stone move before they go to the big leagues as they need to play and make mistakes to realise they're potential. That's a tough ask at a top four club in the best league in the world. Guys like Mahrez, Kante, etc are outliers, very much the exception rather than the rule and you could probably count on one hand the amount of these guys playing across all the top leagues that were bought for absolute pennies and go on to become among the best players in the world.
  8. From the outside looking in it looks to me that you are already doing exactly that and have done for a few years at least now.
  9. Yeah these guys you need to get before they go to the EPL. Similar at Celtic on a lesser scale in that guys in league 1 and the likes we need to be getting before they go to the likes of Brentford and those sort of sides. Changed days since we picked up the Championship's second top scorer for £2m. Agree entirely, shopping in the EPL market is a quick way to go bust, absolutely no value whatsoever, mediocre journeyman regularly change hands for £30-40m these days.
  10. Raphina maybe, Neto no chance, would cost a fortune and can see him being on the radar of Europe's elite already.
  11. Maddison is better and not sure how the two of them fit into the one side, especially with Tielemans around, who is also better. RLC has undoubted ability but he looks to me to be forever one of these guys who'll turn it on one game in every five.
  12. You sure know how to kick a man when he's down!
  13. Makes me want to hit my head off the wall anytime someone mentions the name Toney! You make a great point and that's not the cause of my frustration, it's the fact he should be wearing a green and white hooped jersey just now if Lawell wasn't such a fat penny pinching twat!
  14. Nope. Offered his resignation because of it. Don't blame him.
  15. Great first day at his new club for Ntcham today, got his manager sacked and managed to make himself a figure of hate among the fans before he's even kicked a ball
  16. No manager in the land gets everything they want in a window. Also the more players you sign in a window typically the more turn out to be donkeys.
  17. They are trying to get Ntcham from us apparently. I've filled up the car and just waiting on the call now!
  18. 18 months contract, that is really weird.
  19. Good move for him in all honesty
  20. Agree with this in the main but Perez can play up there, the key is when he does is to get the wide players to play further in and closer to him so they can link up and interchange, that's not really happened.
  21. Very much a half of two halves that one Looking dangerous though, confident this Leeds defence will be breached again.
  22. No he's on a long contract, it would take £15-20m to get him.
