  1. I've got my green tinted glasses off here but KDH at 22 still hasn't played 50 top flight games at any level, as well as he seems to be doing at Luton. McGregor has played hundreds of games, ok at a poor Scottish league level but also turned in terrific performances at Europa League, Champions League and international level so it's a bit of a stretch to say KDH is better. He may well turn out to be a better player in the fullness of time, or not, who knows but it's baseless saying he's better now. My own opinion is though he lookds a decent player, from the little I've saw of him, is he'll never be a regular in a top 4 Leicester side and I wouldn't be surprised to see Leicester make good money off him in a couple of years selling him to a mid to lower EPL side.
  2. He'd be tailored made for Scottish football tbh, I'd have him in a minute.
  3. Edouard won't cost £25m, probably more like £15m, no more than that if he doesn't go in this window.
  4. I said as much in my post that I thought Praet was a decent player. It's all about opinions but I think McGregor is a better squad option than him though. Rodgers tried to get McGregor first before going and signing Praet afterwards also remember.
  5. The good thing about McGregor is your signing effectively a 6, 8 and a 10 who is effective in all those positions. He's great on the ball and at using it so tailor made for the way Rodgers plays. I don't think when everyone is fit he gets in the strongest eleven but I think he'd be a marked upgrade on current back-up's like Mendy, Praet and Hamza and I think those three are very decent players themselves.
  6. I don't think McGregor would ever rock the boat in terms of demanding a move but I think he'll feel it's the time for a new challenge for him and would jump at the chance of a move to Leicester. He wanted to go when Rodgers made the bid last time around but never made a song and dance about it which speaks volumes about his character. If Celtic's asking price were to be met which I'd imagine would be in he £15-20m range as he's one of the few on a long contract then I reckon it could happen. More chance of it now than ever.
  7. I love Martinez but I seriously doubt he'd score goals at EPL level, particularly after coming back from an ACL injury.
  8. Celtic's main forum doesn't have open access.
  9. Yeah agreed, he contradicts himself from one day to the next.
  10. Yeah according to Lennon today no one has even made a bid.
  11. Starts tonight against Hamilton
  12. Gravenberch looks like the next big one from Ajax, dutch anyway. Like the look of Anthony too but he's Brazilian.
  13. Exhibit A your honour, Alfonso Alves!
  14. Interesting. I can't see it but you never know.
  15. Yeah I'd have him in a minute in all honesty.
  16. Going on Lennon's previous form in this regard I'm taking that as Edouard is most definitely away before the end of the window
  17. Sorry but this is absolute tosh. Celtic were in just as big a mess when Rodgers arrived, we'd just been knocked out the cup by a lower league rangers side, returned our worst points total in a league season ever and had to shut a section of the top tier as season ticket sales had plummeted. The very reason Rodgers and Lawell butted heads was because Rodgers never got afforded the level of control he wanted and should have had and had players foisted upn him by Lawell (Shved, Arzani, etc) which Rodgers alluded to publicly. You couldn't be more wrong with regards the latter as with Lawell gone in the summer Howe or whoever the new manager will be will have more control than any other Celtic manager has had in the last 20 years.
  18. It's not a no win situation, in fact it's probably the opposite, there's far less risk coming to Celtic, inevitably winning a few trophies and then lookng down south again. Pretty much exactly what Rodgers done. Going somewhere like Newcastle for example, he relegates them within 6 months and he'd struggle to get a job at EPL level again. Celtic are in a bit of a mess at the moment but Lawell going at the end of the season would be the ideal time for a new manager to come, start with a clean slate, influence change and have less pressure than usual now the ten in a row monkey is off the club's back.
  19. He made a bid for McGregor not last summer but the summer before tbf, which was verified by the player. Like I've said the only two that would be good enough imo are Edouard and McGregor so maybe not that much of a surprise. I guess Tierney obviously was but he had already gone to Arsenal by the time Leicester were looking for a left back.
  20. Yeah he was spot on, we signed both of them at the same time. GMS has tons of ability but he is terribly inconsistent and mentally quite weak. If he could have turned it on every week he would have been in the EPL too. Yeah he's recently signed for Hearts after a stint at NYCFC. He's better than the Scottish Championship tbf, he'll still do a job in the top league, where Hearts will be again next season.
  21. Rumours up here Karamoko Dembele is signing for Lille.
