  1. He's available for our game Wednesday so not much longer.
  2. Can people stop saying it would be great for all parties please Thanks
  3. It could be like the flying V from mighty ducks!
  4. Give me a break come on, haven;t I had to endure enough this season
  5. Get him back into the physical condition he was in last season and I think you'd get far more mileage out of Edouard in terms of being able to rest Vardy more than you do with Iheancho. If he develops like he could in a couple of years you could have Vardy's replacement ready made. Of course I don't mean he'll be as good as Vardy, I don' hink you'll ever find someone like that but I think you could be in a position where the hole your looking t fill isn't anywhere near as big.
  6. I understand your logic I'd just rather focus on clearing the decks and starting afresh with a new manager and new approach. I've serious doubts if he'll ever be good enough but 'd rather Ajetic got the final 6 months just so we know whether he has anything or not, or even Klimala in the same vein.
  7. This time last year every Celtic fan in the land would have told you Edouard had exceeded how good Dembele was and the latter was and still is an absolute hero among Celtic fans. Whether that's true or not you can debate but I wouldn't read too much into his form this season due to several reasons I've said on here before. You don't become a bad player overnight and the Edouard at Celtic and France U21's in the main has been breathtaking.
  8. We don't need to replace him in January as our season is over. In fact I'd be pretty annoyed if we did. I'd rather wait and properly identify his replacement and get whoever that is in the summer, particularly as we're likely to be changing manager soon.
  9. Yeah this is true. I imagine with this record and he was being signed from any league other than the SPFL people would be creaming themselves. Like I've said scottish football is crap, you don't have to convince me of that but as has proven to be the case more than a few times now there are some hidden gems if your willing to look hard enough. There are a good few examples already doing well in the EPL who would improve the Leicester squad. Edouard has as good a chance of being one of them as those who have came before him and you'll get him for £10m quid cheaper than the last guy we sold to England also who is nw doing pretty well.
  10. Football is all about opinions and I respect yours but I don't agree with it at all, I've seen a lot of him and the guy is mince, no gold plating of him will convince me otherwise. Signing guys like Ajeti is another major reason I'd avoid guys like Iheancho. I'd much rather we went back to the model that has worked well for us in the past and try and find the next Edouard than sign squad fillers from the EPL who are on and would want extortionate wages, by our standards anyway.
  11. You couldn't be more wrong on the latter, he is on under 10k per week at Celtic and I know that as a cast iron fact.
  12. Yeah he's got a great first touch and physically is big and strong. There is a bit of work to do in building him back up though as I think covid hit him hard as he looks visibly very much thinner than last season and I think that has had an effect on his form this season, along with our general shityness of course. He really didn't have any weight to lose as well.
  13. We'll need to agree to disagree but better players than him have came up here and struggled. One smash from the back from Declan Gallagher of Motherwell or something like that and he'd go missing. He has the heart of a mouse, which typically is the thign that trumps all else in scottish football in whether you are a success or not, even ability.
  14. Ok, take this with a dose of salt, I'm not saying he is as good or ever will be anywhere close to as good but his style is a lot like Thierry Henry's was. He plays as a central striker but naturally drifts left and is effective at both picking the ball up from this position and runnng at defenders and running in behind. He has the same languid, nonchalant style as well that sometimes can be mistaken for looking as if he can't be arsed
  15. Football fans in being fickle. What a new fangled idea that one is!
  16. The pre-determined price basically gives Leicester first refusal on the player at the price that was agreed at the time of the loan up until a certain date. This is exactly what happened with us with Edouard, we had up until the end of the May the year we had him on loan to buy him for £9m or after that other clubs could enquire about him. If there's no obligation to buy however there is nothing stopping Leicester trying to negotiate a better price as they would with any player they were trying to sign.
  17. It's not anything personal against Edouard. Everyone knew he'd leave at some stage, our season is already over, his contract is running down so we need to get money for him while we can to finance some sort of rebuild. He'll always be remembered fondly among Celtic fans as over the piece he's been a terrific player for us.
  18. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Celtic park, ever. I struggle to ever see anything he is actually effective at other than disappearing like a ghost. I know Scottish football is crap but plenty of players from down south have came up and struggled and he has this written all over him. A lot of people told me on here Andy King would be like Zidane in the SPFL and he couldn't make Rangers bench. The standard is crap but it's so blood and thunder that a lot of players who have done well in England struggle.
  19. The more pertinent question is do I keep or change my avatar
  20. No it wouldn't Iheanacho is mince. With £15m in our pocket or whatever it is we'll be able to find plenty players better than Iheanacho.
  21. Kelechi would be too shit. I wouldn't sign him for my son's under 5's team. I'd much rather have had Slimani and that's saying something.
  22. Don't think anyone will care if he leaves now in all honesty. I'd rather he ended up at Leicester than most other clubs obv.
  23. Yeah agreed, it's the best possible deal as there's essentially no risk. He needs to start making a regular impact in league games soon though or I'd be surprised if he's here next season given what it's going to cost to sign him.
