I'm no debating that I'm saying I highly doubt the plan when signing him was that your signing a player that's going to take 6 months to threaten to make league appearances. Like a previous poster said there have been spells he's been available where he's hadly been seen.

I like Under from the little I've saw of him. Get the impression though Rodgers must have some serious resrvations over him though given his reluctance to use him. I'd be surprised if the deal got made permanent unless he has a barnstorming second half of the season. The main reason for this is the right hand-side wide position was one of the key areas to strengthen and I expect Rodgers thought/wanted someone who would go straight in and make a difference. Similar to the impact Castagne has made in a different position. I don't think it was ever the plan or intention tor Under to take 6 months to settle and rely on the same guys as last season in that position.

What does a 20 goal a season EPL striker cost nowadays though? Your talking 50-60m, probably more. Leicester simply aren't and won't be in the market for those guys. Ings is the only real outlier I can see in terms of this in recent history. Edouard of course isn't going to be an off the shelf 20 goal a season EPL striker, you'd be signing potential in the hope you can develop him into one. I obviously have an inherent bias but for £15m quid or whatever I don't think there's going to be much better value around in this window than that. I doubt many French under 21 attackers tend to go for less than that these days.

Watched the game also. Marinho is the one of the two most likely to make it in the EPL I'd say, Soteldo looks like he may struggle physically, a bit like Bernard in that sense.

I've not heard anything substantial from anyone who is a decent source but I think all the stars are aligning for a January exit, he's changed agents (or rather now has a proper agent lol), our season is a dead rubber and his contract is running down. I'd be more surprised if he wasn't a Leicester player come the end of the window. I'd be fairly happy getting that sort of deal for him now all things considered.

Yeah he's class, could have a big future. His free kick was majestic last night. Him and Soro have been the only bright sparks this season, the rest of the team around them have been garbage. The infuriating thing is Lennon waited until the end of November to play him. He scored 16 goals from midfield in a poor Motherwell side a couple of seasons ago. We had a deal agreed to sign him at the end of that season but he failed a medical and needed a knee operation and missed basically the whole of last season as a result. He started this season on fire for Motherwell again and we went back and signed him.

I was meaning on a pre-contract. You could sign him for free on a free contract now, well next month when he is 18. I don't think we'd ever get that money for any player tbh, even if he came into our side and was amazing. He's defnitely worth taking a punt on but the next couple of years are critical for him. It's not so much his height it's every aspect of playing a man's game he seems to fall short on at the moment. There is enough raw ability there though to take a chance on, particularly as he'll be a free agent.

I wouldn't take Nacho if you paid us to take him lol! I've never rated him. I'd take Gray though, as much as he's poor at EPL level he'd run riot in Scotland. I could see him having a similar impact to what Sinclair had in his first couple of seasons with us. Karamoko you'll be able to pick up for free from now as his conract is up at the end of the season and he ain't signing a new one. He seems to have stalled a good bit the last couple of years both physically and in terms of footballing ability. He played most of our pre-season games and looked very much like a boy playing a man's game. He's still got a way to go before he's close to being ready for first team football even at Scottish level let alone the EPL. That said I doubt playing under Lennon has helped his development much.

I genuinely don't think there is any bad blood between either parties now, in fact I think the relationship between Lawell and Rodgers is now better than what it was when he was here. Various quotes from lawell and the fact hey ahd an interview with Rodgers on the website about 6 months ago suggests they are on good terms. Whether any of our players are good enough is the more pertinent question. I think McGregor is but I don't think you need him and think the money could be better spent elsewhere. I believe the Edouard of last season is good enough and if you were to get him for £10-15m as will likely be the case I think he's well worth a punt at that price. Beyond those two, there's no one though, this is far from a vintage crop at Celtic at the moment. If Lawell gets the money he wants for a player he'd sell them to Rangers if it meant getting the money in.

Kieran Tierney also who is now one ofthe best left backs in the league. You could have had him for half of what you got for Chilwell and he's a better player. Scottish football is crap but there is the odd diamond in the rough as has proven to have been the case lately so turn your nose up at it at your pearl. You could always go and give Sporting Lisbon £50m again, that worked out really well in the past.

I've always found the same with him. In pictures and social media etc I think he's a bit of a div and then when you hear him in interviews etc he seems a decent grounded lad. He gets extra points for putting Ranges in their place when he was up here as well.

Given Juventus, Barcelona and a host of other perennial CL clubs are after him I'd say there's as much chance of this happening as Rodgers leaving Leicester and coming back to Celtic.
