  1. I just came on to post something similar to this, Tierney joined this mob a year before he moved to Arsenal. Edouard is on the way out, by summer at the latest so this is an expected move. He’s on pennies even by our standards at the moment and his representation before this was basically a couple of his mates.
  2. Yeah think there may be an element of that too mate.
  3. He's not really found form in the EPL but he'll score barrel loads in Holland.
  4. The Edouard of last season, I think he most definitely could. The Edouard of this season, no chance. I do think covid has hit him hard though as he looks very thin compared to how he used to look.
  5. I don't think I was quoting anywhere near that I said I expected us to get Tierney level money for him and maybe more if a bidding ar started and several teams were after him. We were never beating the scottish transfer record by £15m in a matter of 12-24 months. I think had there been sufficient interest in him in the summer we could have got 25-30m though when his stock was at an all time high, we'd be lucky to get half that now mind you as I've said several times now.
  6. Yeah he's been an empty jersey this season. Part of me thinks he's downed tools and part of me thinks covid has ravaged him as he looks dangrously thin compared to how he looked previously. I hope it's not the former as it'll d his own prospects of a decent move just as much damage as t'll do to any prospective fee we get for hm.
  7. Yup, definitely on the first point, that's what happens when you replace a £4m per year manager with a 500k one and try and play at being a director of football yourself (Lawell). I'm not so sure on the second point, for a number of reasons, I think Lawell and Lennon may both be gone this season and should we appoint a decent manager I think we'll get our title back next season. Even if Lawell isn't this is usually the sort of times Desmond gets involved and opens the purse strings and goes and recruits a manager himself, as he did with O'Neill and Rodgers in the past. Add in to the fact Rangers recent financial results (chairman says they need to bring in £32m by end of next season just to meet operating costs) and the fact they'll have to sell players I think we stand a good chance of wrestling back control. Next season is a very important one to win as the winners get champions league group stage access. Eddie Howe is the one being rumoured at the moment, whether there is any truth in it I don't know. I'd be amazed if Lennon was still here though and if Lawell goes I think we should be able to attract someone half decent, the issue is more our hapless board. For example Marco Rose was apparently keen to come and we ignored him and several others and went for Lennon instead. Gerrard has done well this season and hats off to him but he's not without his flaws either, 1 trophy in 9 (assuming they don't balls up the league) would have seen any other Rangers manager chased but his excellent European record has been his saving grace in keeping him in a job when Rangers imploded the past two seasons, prior to this one. For example, if Rodgers had stayed Rangers would never have got close to us. I know we won't ordinarily be able to attract a manager of his calibre but we sure can do a helluva lot better than Neil Lennon.
  8. Wouldn't be aganst that tbh but lawell would do that over his own dead body. He wouldn't let a pound slip through his fingers.
  9. I don't know this for a fact but the rumours I've heard are 30% of the fee if greater than £9m.
  10. I'd love 20m for him but would be amazed if we got that, 15m absolute tops. Even then there is not much point in that as we'll owe PSG 30% if we sell him for more than we bought him for (£9m).
  11. Come and take Edouard now as our season is over and he's barely tried a leg since August anyway.
  12. I highly doubt it, he's too important a player for them in the second half of the season to sacrifice for a few million quid.
  13. Yeah they still sent the player that's the point I made. Given the wages he was on Celtic were quite happy to send him back too. Anyway, it's all largely irrelevant, if Ambramovich likes him then he'll go for him, that's how it works at Chelsea. Same at Celtic with Desmond and other clubs who have one guy who can call the shots if they like.
  14. Someone I know who worked directly for Rodgers told me this.
  15. I'd cast doubt on how true that was, Chelsea were happy to send us players on loan when Rodgers was Celtic manager. Liverpool on the other hand knocked him back numerous times when he tried to get players on loan.
  16. I get it's just opinions but there's no chance in hell Rodgers knocks back the Chelsea job if offered it, in my opinion.
  17. Well, now you say that, not that variety of narcotic specifically. It was when he was at Hearts and when he moved out the flat it looked like a scene from Jay and Silent Bob strike back by all accounts!
  18. Yup, spoiled. Try watching Celtic this season, that will make you want to turn off, not that I have or would mind you.
  19. Started the match well and looked dangerous, felt out it a bit as the half has went on though. Hopefully up the tempo in the second-half as get the feeling the game is there for the taking. Why Rodgers reluctance to use Under btw? This game is screaming out for someone who can commit Newcastle defenders.
  20. Diego Costa is a busted flush. Would be daft to sign someone like him.
