  1. I like Ward-Prowse, he's a very tidy player but I think he'd cost serious wonga given how inflated fees are currently in England for English players which is only going to get worse again when Brexit happens.
  2. He looks good from that clip but Ukrainians are very rarely a success when they leave eastern europe.
  3. I didn't thnk he was great yesterday and I think he's got a bit to go to return to the peak Maddison we've seen in the past but he was far from a disgrace. In fact I've not seen any Leicester players turn in a performance that was a disgrace this season. If people really want see a disgraceful performance just tune into some of Celtic's perfomances this season, that's a disgrace.
  4. He looked good centrally yesterday, I've been critical of him in the past but perhaps it's not been entirely fair on him being shoehorned out onto the wing more often than not. His touch and link-up play is lovely.
  5. I think Maddison has been below par for quite a while now, some of it down to misfortune of injury admittedly. I don't think sticking him on that inside left type position ever works though, the definition of a squae peg in a round hole. That said I don't see how he fits into the team in his preferred position at the moment. Big 12-18 months ahead for him if he is to realise his potential.
  6. Lazio, Napoli or it could maybe even be argued Inter would be more beatable than AC Milan based on this season's form anyway, Milan are absolutely flying and have been since the resumption of last season after Covid.
  7. Could be worse, you could have been a pot 1 team and got utterly spanked and be out the group already! You don't know your born you lot
  8. You think you’ve got it bad, look at some of Neil Lennon’s interviews lately. Apparently building a common room with pool tables for the players will arrest our horrific form.
  9. Excellent post, couldn’t agree any more, balanced and well put.
  10. Genuine question here and I don’t mean this in any disrespectful way but who are we going to attract that’s a better manager than Rodgers? Given it was a fifth placed position last season and riding high again this season it’s a mixture of madness and spoiledness suggesting he should go. Is this really necessary in some quarters after every single defeat?
  11. I don't think they'll ever sort themselves out with Solskjaer in charge, fourth is the best they can hope for imo.
  12. If Spurs are indeed interested (which I doubt) and he goes there he's an idiot and only chasing money as he's never going to play regularly there, he'd be lucky to make the bench most weeks. If he's serious about carving out an actual football career and has the hunger to develop he'll go somewhere he's going to play every week.
  13. I think comparing Mahrez and Edouard is a little bit like apples and oranges. Mahrez was one of the best players on the planet at the time and had no shortage of suitors. Edouard still has a lot to prove beyond Scotland and like I said all we've had is one derisory bid from a middling bundesliga club. It's killing his prospects of getting a good move as much as it's killing Celtic's form at the moment so it's in hs interests to get the finger out. If he does and we get rid of Lennon he is that good he could win us the league on his own in Scotland.
  14. He's never refused to play it's just his attitude has been poor and he's visibly barely trying a leg. That said you could say the latter about all the players.
  15. I think you make a fair point, I'd be concerned if I was a potential buying club at his attitude this season.
  16. Yeah I'd be amazed if we got anything more than that for him now, perfect storm for us in terms of what we'll get for him, he's been poor, team has been poor and come the summer he'll have a year to go on his deal.
  17. That game was two seasons ago and like you allude to it was to make him sign a contract. Again that was the reason he was in and around the first team this season so he'd sign another one, not on merit. It was painful watching him play pre-season as he looked like a little boy playing a mans game. It's nothing to do with ability he's simply not physically ready, despite what you say for someone his age his decision makng in terms of going at players and when to pass it is actually excellent for someone so young, I've seen enough of him to say that pretty confidently. We hav an American kid called Cameron Harper who is playing ahead of him in the development squad who looks to be a better prospect than him as things stand at the moment.
  18. He's out of contract in 18 months so we'll be lucky to get £20m for him now. He's not looked like he's outgrown the league this season in all honesty, he's been diabolical. Everyone around him has been the same but I expect far better from him given how good I know he can be. Karamoko is miles from being ready for first team football at Celtic or indeed anywhere else, there's players at his own age group that have overtaken him. Look at the posts earlier on in this thread about him.
  19. Think the Spurs documentary put paid to that as a myth as there was plenty of footage of them sitting together at breakfast and the likes. Read a thing about Eriksen no so long ago that he's played a crazy amount of football since a teenager and the reason he's dipped the last couple of seasons is burn out, similar to guys like Rooney who play a lot of games so young and end up peaking much earlier and being finished much earlier, at the top level anyway.
  20. Not so sure, I'm not sure there's been a ton on concrete interest in him, that's more the reason he stayed. One derisory bid from a Bundesliga club in the summer so I'm told from a reliable source.
  21. I think the 320k a week may be the bigger problem.
  22. This is his instruction. Rodgers Celtic team were the exact same, our keeper at the time Craig Gordon was similarly poor with his feet and every time he had the ball it was these pitching wedge type kick outs to the full backs 3/4 up our own half. We got away wtth it in Scotland as the other teams are so poor but we got absolutely crucifed in Europe doing it against the elite teams.
