  1. Logging in for today's instalment in the soap opera
  2. And there’s a reason it’s not been tried, he’s not good enough. It’s obvious Rodgers barely trusts him, there’s a reason for that.
  3. It’s not a guess, it’s a statistical fact. Substitute strikers who season in season out barely start games are going to have better goals to minute ratios typically than someone who plays 90 minutes every week. That’s why goals to minute ratios for substitutes are by and large a pretty flawed statistic.
  4. Which I'm glad of I've not heard anything more about it. The guy that told me that a bid was going in a few weeks back is usually right more often than he's wrong tbh, he was the one who told me Rodgers was gone a day before anyone had a clue for example.
  5. Ndidi is a great player, like all players he has strengths and weaknesses but any Leicester side without him in it is weaker imo.
  6. I wonder if the injury to Ndidi will see a midfielder being targeted, even on loan.
  7. Nail on head, thank you. I'd like this but I have used all my likes for the day
  8. I don't think your expectations are that of most normal people judging by some of the replies on this thread. In case you haven't noticed also, most premier league clubs have billionaire owners and despite your thinking you guys are lucky you have one of the more responsible sets of owners who aren't artificially inflating the club to one day lose interest and leave you in ruins.
  9. Your about to spend £30m on another CB and if Under is successful that'll be another £25m you'll have committed to spend. I'd hate to have seen what you were like when the club weren't doing well.
  10. It's not like you haven't spent any money this summer, you've brought in two very good players and are trying hard for another one at £30m. How much do you deem it acceptable to spend with a wages to turnover ratio of 84% in the middle of a global pandemic that has restricted budgets across the board? For what it's worth you've also spent more than West Ham this summer and if you sign Fofana you'll have spent considerably more. Despite the fact West Ham generate more revenue and have less outgoing costs than yourselves and are generally a more valuable club (See Forbes/Deloitte).
  11. Because you mentioned Everton and used them as some sort of example in how Leicester should be spending wild amounts of money like them. A club who by and large pay over the odds and waste huge amounts of cash summer after summer.
  12. Which they'll have to pay for and with it will come increased financial burden. It's years before clubs yield the benefits of a larger stadium, just look at Arsenal with the Emirates.
  13. Well that's nonsense isn't it as Leicester qualified for Europe and the second best premier league season in history. Maybe you'd be happier blowing wads of cash every summer on dross like Everton and West Ham and getting nowhere. Talk about being spoiled.
  14. As is yours, for reference you finished a good bit higher in the table than Everton last season so following their approach and just throwing money at it perhaps isn't as effective as what Leicester are doing. Furthermore, as has been said on this thread Everton's owners are pumping in millions, Leicester's aren't so in this vein trying to point to Everton as an example is the epitome of a nothing point.
  15. There'll be clause after clause in sponsorship deals I would imagine. Both will take some sort of a hit due to covid.
  16. Would be a good move for him, desperately needs to start playing games regularly somewhere given his age. Ideal scenario he goes there and has a stormer and comes back with something to offer. At the moment he is completely unproven at any level.
  17. Play Iheancho from the start for 90 mins for 10 games in the EPL and his minutes per goal would fall through the floor. It's a flawed stat in this context. It's far easier to come off the bench for 15 mins here and there and score the odd goal than it is to start every week and consistently score goals.
  18. He'd have scored the very good chance Iheanacho missed, no doubt about that.
  19. Or a side who simply came up against a much better side.
  20. Bit harsh given Sevilla ended up winning the competition beating Man Utd and Inter, coming from behind in both.
  21. Perspective is needed by some after last night. There were a couple of very poor individual performances yes but looking at the bigger picture if 3 weeks ago someone offered winning the first two league games, scoring lots of goals and playing well and going out the League cup whilst playing a weakened team then everyone would have taken that in a minute. Last night is just noise, the biggest relief thus far this season is having shaken off that blunt, pointless possession based stuff and returning to looking like a dangerous exciting side again.
  22. I think if a decent CB is signed you have to be satisfied that this is a good window given the economic state of the world. Castagne looks a star and if Under works out he'll be a huge upgrade out wide. Another striker would have been nice but no club in the land gets everything they want or need in a single window. If this time next year the plan is for another striker and a midfielder then things will be progressing nice and strategically. Worst thing that can happen is to go scattergun in any window, such an approach never works.
