  1. Read yesterday the former may end up back at Bayern, will believe it when I see it though, he's miles off that level now. Mandzukic would be a terrific signing, he'd offer a completely different dynamic also.
  2. Not a good enough back-up striker for a side who wants to year in year out be challenging for top 6, definitely not good enough to be number 1 striker at such a club. I know finances dictate you have to persevere with him for now but I'd be planning on selling and replacing him for next summer.
  3. Admittedly I've not seen as much of him as others but I think he's worth persevering with a little bit longer. If you can get a little bit more football and composure coached into him he'd be a very handy player. There's not many midfielders around now who are aggressive in the tackle like he is. He's played a fair amount of premier league football for his age so he has something. Not that we could afford him but I'd have him as Brown's replacement in a minute!
  4. I don't rate him at all but agreed, he's the only natural striker in the squad other than Vardy, selling him now with less than a fortnight to go in the window you run the risk of not being able to replace him at all. Only way he can be sold is if you can get his replacement in first.
  5. He's not showing he can cope with that level of football, playing once against Arsenal in the Carabao cup is proving very little. He's never started a game in the premier league in his life and he is almost 23. He is even unproven at Championship level, in fact he's unproven at any level. The only games he has played worth noting are 10 on loan at Blackpool, to prove yourself at any level, let alone premier league level you need to go out and play consistently in a substantial amount of games. If he had shown that he'd have a clamour of EPL sides wanting him on loan and there are none, I don't even see Championship sides battering your door down to get him on loan. He's 23, he needs to quickly get 100 games under his belt somewhere if is to have any chance of developing and that ain't gonna happen at Leicester. How many 23 year old outfield players that have played 10-15 games in football (in this case at league 1 level) by the age they are 23 go on to become seasoned premier league players, let alone seasoned premier league players at top 6 sides? If you can provide examples of where this is the case I'm happy to be proved wrong but there's not many at all, if any. All the top managers say the same thing, if you miss playing games between your key developmental years of 18-23 then it's a struggle thereafter. Look at guys like Chilwell, Tierney and countless other 23 year olds, these are guys that have shown they can cope with this level of football by playing hundreds of games at that level and being consistent. One appearance against Arsenal reserves in the Carabao cup proves nothing.
  6. Yeah in that sense of course, I was more meaning with the fixtures spread through the week and the death of the traditional Saturday 3pm fixture slot.
  7. The NFL-isation of the English Premier League begins/continues.
  8. I'm out. Like I said, that line of argument that I've highlighted is an absolute nonsense.
  9. Your digressing. Your original point about there basically being no point in Iheanacho busting a gut and trying to make an impression in these games is an absolute nonsense.
  10. Send KDH out on loan to a Championship club for a season and see how he does, he's played so little football for his age it's hard to tell what his potential is. He's not going to get regular enough football for a 23 year old at Leicester and if he doesn;t get regular football somewhere soon his career will go nowhere. Gray has had enough chances and shows no sign of developing so cut your losses.
  11. It is a lot of money for a number 2. Especially back when he was signed.
  12. The term scapegoat gets flung around to easily on here to give players a pass. My nan could have watched that game tonight, knowing nothing about football and saw Iheancho was dung. Games like tonight are his chance to showcase that he should be given more minutes and he could have shown more hunger despite getting little service. Even when he was on the ball some of his slackness was shocking, like passing the ball out of the park. There's nothing wrong in fans being disappointed at that.
  13. For a modern day striker, loads more! It's not under 11s football where you get a pass just for scoring a goal!
  14. Tbf Thomas made some mistakes that I'd expect a 19 year old to make, I think he done fine and every time I've seen him he's shown plenty to suggest he has a real chance of making it.
  15. "Fairly well" isn;t enough to prove he's capable of giving Vardy a rest sorry.
  16. It does matter though, he's already nearly through a key developmental phase and he's barely played any top flight football. If he was 18 then fair enough but at nearly 23 he needs to get a lot of games somewhere to even stand half a chance and he could be 25 by the time that happens.
  17. Yeah at his age he needs to get 100 games under his belt and quick if he wants to have any sort of decent career. At 23 most promising prospects have at least that under their belts.
  18. Agree with all of this apart from the KDH part. There's a reason at almost 23 he's started 1 game and has only had ten games out on loan.
  19. Your missing the point. If he proved in games like tonight he had a lot more to offer Rodgers would be more inclined to rest Vardy more and preserve his effectiveness given his age. Instead performances like tonight lead him to trusting Iheancho less and having to play Vardy and risk Vardy more than he'd like.
  20. Amartey had the positional sense of a stolen vehicle being pursued by a fleet of police cars tonight.
  21. Thomas looked good I thought, he continues developing you'll have a very good player on your hands. KDH at almost 23 ain't ever going to even be a bit part player in a successful Leicester side.
  22. I really don't understand that theory at all. Games like this where Iheanacho has an opportunity to start he should be busting a gut to show Rodgers he is worht giving more minutes.
