  1. Can't read too much into or get hot and bothered about that one I don't think. A couple of experienced players who will have designs on starting games more frequently let themselves down. Rodgers will be hoping guys like Iheanacho and Gray would give him something to think about after a game like tonight however all they've done is make his job easier in terms of leaving them out.
  2. The point is he's not even doing the former. If he done that he'd be at least dragging Arsenal out their shape and creating space for runners. Service there and knocks a routine pass out the pitch.
  3. Exactly, he should be dropping deep an showing for the ball, being hungry and knocking people about at least. He's jogging about accepting he's getting no service as opposed to busting a gut trying to affect the game.
  4. Yeah if something happened to Vardy and you had to rely on Nacho starting 10 games in the league I think he'd struggle.
  5. Yeah was looking at his stats there, one loan spell and ten games at Blackpool and he's nearly 23, very poor decision making by him or the clun in him not having been out on loan and gotten far more games under his belt.
  6. I think it's worth at least giving Perez a shot up top. Nacho just hasn't got it.
  7. Thomas has looked decent again tonight I think, First I've really seen him but KDH ain't going to make it, this would be an ok performance for an 18 year old in his first few senior appearances in football but for someone who is 23 soon, nah.
  8. I'd argue even now Albrighton is a far more effective player than Gray. Gray offers very little. At least Albrighton puts a shift in and is useful defensively.
  9. Urgh. Don't see why Morgan felt the need to go to ground.
  10. These are the type of games Iheanacho needs to grab by the balls if he's ever going to threaten to start games regularly. Need more from him.
  11. Agree with you in the main, as much as I'm loathed to do I'd have to give Congerton some credit for Castagne as he was widely known to be on our radar at Celtic and he looks a very good signing. Agree entirely on the other two though, they smack of the model you guys normally follow. I think all of this bodes well tbh as it means Congerton seems to have input but not total control which seems to be working and will limit any damage he can do overall.
  12. Maybe it's Brendan's fault and Congerton is excellent at his job in finding all these broken players, it's Brendan that's the problem in not being able to fix them
  13. According to Slippy in his book he hates Rodgers.
  14. This is a great point. That's what made Seville so magical for us beating the likes of Liverpool, Blackburn, Celta Vigo and Stuttgart on the way to the final.
  15. They're fans were good when they came to Celtic park tbf, as were they're Leipzig counterparts.
  16. So why advocate signing him then! Just because Chelsea were daft enough to part with silly money for him doesn't indicate there's a player in there. He's a donkey!
  17. It's at this point I should ask, have you actually watched this guy play?
  18. Congerton knew at 15 he was going to be a star, this was Rodgers defence of him at Celtic when fans were going mental about him
  19. I think the situation with James appears to be by default rather than design. I'm sure had the club known he was going to be out injured for 3-4 years they wouldn't have offrered him said extension and there'd be nothing wrong with that.
  20. Christ. Congerton will end up at centre back against City at this rate.
  21. I'd be very surprised if anyone on here on anywhere in the UK has seen enough of Fofana to say that given he's played one season in top flight football and I don't think has started even 20 games?
  22. I think Perez is a decent squad player, he's not someone who I think could or should play every week in a team who are perennialy going to challenge for top 6. The main bone of contention with him is he's basically avery expensive squad player (second most expensive signing ever is that right?) but I guess that's not his fault.
