  1. Can play there but he’s more effective deeper. I don’t see why you’d need that anyway with Maddison.
  2. He ain’t better than Maddison in that position and it isn’t even McGregor’s best position. As @Foxy_Bear said his best position is deeper, making the play and driving forward from deep.
  3. I’m talking about getting in the squad. It’s a moot point but I don’t see it ever happening, he goes anywhere and plays regularly and scores 20-30 goals it’ll help his case more than sitting on the Leicester bench and regressing in what are his key development years.
  4. McGregor is by no means at all a RW, he hasn’t played that position in about 8 years.
  5. Only way we get more than £30m is if there’s a number of clubs chasing him who desperately want him and we can use that as leverage. Other than that I’d be surprised if any player leaves Scotland for greater than £30m now or in the next few years.
  6. I’d have Benkovic back in a minute, would be prepared to gamble on his fitness as hes twice the player Ajer is.
  7. Like I said I’d be surprised if he’s here come the end of the window but Edouard isn’t one of the ones kicking off, those that are are Ajer, Ntcham and Christie.
  8. With regards to playing in the national side playing regularly and scoring goals regularly would do more good than sitting on a bench even if it were the Barcelona bench. We had efe ambrose here for years who throughout the same period captained Nigeria and won the AFCON with them while at us. i don’t see him at us as much as I’d like them but nearing 24 this guy needs to become a regular somewhere and very soon or he’s going to regress.
  9. It’s 30% and that’s direct from someone at the club. Word is he signed a new contract yesterday, from same said source at the club but I’ll take it with a pinch of salt until I see it. Would still be pretty amazed if he’s still here come October 6th.
  10. Yeah I’ve seen people saying as much on here previously.
  11. Certainly not worth the money being spoken about for him anyway imo. Latest rumour with him is one of the reasons he wants to leave is because he wants to go back to being a midfielder. Not sure how true that is.
  12. I think I should clarify when I say “we” I mean Celtic!
  13. We’ve been linked with him and he’s had a firm offer from Bayern Munich which he has rejected as he’d obviously be playing for their B team. He looks decent but I’m not sure he’d threaten to get near your side at the moment.
  14. He’s one I think you guys should have been all over, especially at that price.
  15. In all honesty we could use someone like Ghezzal in a number 10 type role. Obviously been a poor signing at EPL level but he’d do well up here. Given slimani’s attitude I wouldn’t want him near here, I’d rather preserve with Ajeti and Klimala.
  16. I read a an article not so long ago that stated pretty much every big club in Europe does this in terms of fees received via installments. I'd day this is more a strategic policy as opposed to any real cash flow issues.
  17. Definitely, I was really surprised Arsenal not only bought Tierney but gave us £25m up front given he hadn't kicked a ball in almost a year.
  18. Yeah agree entirely, it's ridiculous, I'm sure there was a thing where McGregor and Tierney had played more minutes than anyone else in world football two seasons running under Rodgers or something like that. It's not wise and I suspect we ran Tierney into the ground to the point that led to him having the injury problems he suffered for the best part of the last 18 months.
  19. Thankfully they are making it more difficult for these marches to take place in Glasgow at last and I don't mean just the orange ones I mean one's on both sides. These people on either side who want to march about some sectarian battle(s) that happened hundreds of years ago really need to evolve and be dragged into the 21st century.
  20. It is, he's never fully cemented himself in the side, he can be quite inconsistent if truth be told. The last year or so I feel a bit sorry for him though as we should have been playing him more and looking to start to phase out Brown a bit or at least not make McGregor play near 70 games every season with a weeks rest in between.
  21. Yup looks that way, Ajer and Ntcham pretty much handed in transfer requests yesterday. I wouldn't lose sleep over them leaving tbh we could replace both it's just can we do it this late in the day and have we planned for it and have said replacements lined up. Would be a nightmare to get decent money for both and then waste it, similarly to how we tried to replace Tierney last summer.
  22. Whatever the quality of the league it is important, it's potential history in the making. Juventus are going for the same in Serie A which obviously isn't a mickey mouse league.
  23. God no, hopefully not true for many reasons but the most worrying one is this has Congerton all over it. This sort of signing is very far removed for the sort of signings Leicester normally make which makes me think the above.
