  1. Yeah I'd be very surprised, like I said on her previously we've sold out on season tickets so we've yet to take a hit from the pandemic financially as that is the main source of our income.
  2. I would strongly disagree with the latter.
  3. Seen this lad against Rangers earlier in the Europa League and he looked very good.
  4. Let's be clear here, I think Congerton is a charlatan but I'm not discrediting him from those two signings just because of that. Ntcham and Edouard came from Man City and PSG, two clubs we've had a long standing relationship with before and after Congerton arrived. Both were most definitely not Congerton signings as when we got both Rodgers went on record to highlight Lawell's relationship with both clubs, in the case of Ntcham also he said we'd been trying to sign him since he walked in the door, prior to Congerton's arrival. Not to be pedantic but Hayes wasn't down to him either, Rodgers had worked with Hayes previously at Reading and was public about how he wanted him brought in as he felt any time we played Aberdeen he viewed him as a threat. I've said it many times but he was a disaster at Celtic as he had a lot of control via his proxy Rodgers, hopefully he's marginalised at Leicester within the recruitment structure where he has much less influence.
  5. Any opinions on Maryan Shved?
  6. Yeah he's had a disaster of a season the little clips I've saw of him.
  7. Agreed, especially given how much football he's missed.
  8. I never got that welcome from you Mozart
  9. I guess that's the part a lot of people would maybe argue against, or perhaps argued that he's proven he's not good enough after being at the club for quite a while.
  10. In terms of Iheanacho this is pretty much exactly my thoughts on him and I think if he had to be relied on to start 20 league games or something like that he doesn't have it in him to carry that burden and deliver consistently.
  11. Not at all, Benkovic was a big favourite up here, not many bigger fans of him than I actually which you'll see from my previous posts but he wasn't at the same level as VVD.
  12. Van Dijk is world class and it was always as plain as the nose on your face when he was at Celtic he would go on and be one of the top defenders in the world.
  13. They're not mutually exclusive, you can talk bollocks and be disrespectful!
  14. I love Eddy and he is undoubtedly the best we've had since Larsson but it's like comparing apples and oranges for me, Larsson was genuinely in the top 5 strikers in the world when he was at Celtic, he was scoring goals in the Champions League, European Championships, World Cups and winning European golden boots all the while we were batting back bids from Man Utd who were the biggest and most successful club on the planet at the time.
  15. I think you need to respect your audience a tad here my friend. How do you think it would go down if say a Liverpool fan came onto the huddleboard and said Owen or Fowler was better than Larsson?
  16. Yeah pretty much, £9m he cost and he’s our record transfer. As much as it pains me we get offered £35-40m for him and he’s gone.
  17. I agree with the general point, we’ll sell to the highest bidder, whether that’s Leicester or anyone else that makes no difference. Financially I wouldn’t say we are hurting at all in relative terms though, as I said we’ve sold out on season tickets so it’s pretty much a normal season for us financially and if we make the champions league we’ll end up having a financially even better season than pre-Covid.
  18. I wouldn’t think so no Who knows how his career will turn out in the long term but I don’t think any reasonable person would say he’s better than Vardy at this stage.
  19. That's the point, that's a problem when your nearly 24, it's very difficult to play catch-up in that sense.
  20. Wholeheartedly agree, Iheanacho has been at the club a long time now and people are still talking about his potential, that says it all.
  21. Can he be considered that young now? He's 24 in a couple of months and in terms of starts he's not played a lot of football for a 24 year old. I'd be wary of how much better he's going to get in all honesty and I get it's my own personal opinion but I don't see him ever being good enough to be a number 1 striker at a top 6 EPL club.
  22. He was linked in the Scottish press over the weekend tbf.
  23. Ffs no way in hell is Pope worth £50m!
