  1. Could do a lot worse than him, good shout.
  2. I hope I'm wrong but I've got the fear about Congerton at work this summer.
  3. McGregor and Edouard, those two by a distance.
  4. Not necessarily Rodgers leaving, he finished last season strongly. He's been poor this season though, for £20m which has been discussed we'd be mugging you off, he gets caught out a fair bit with naive defending up here so I shudder to think how that would be amplified in the EPL. His biggest strength is his ability to bring the ball out from the back.
  5. Happy for you to take Ajer to be quite frank!
  6. He'll play pretty regularly at City, they've had Fernandinho playing centre back most of the season.
  7. He wouldn't be back-up at Leicester though he'd stroll into the side.
  8. Probably. I reckon Josh King is the better player of the two though, I'd sooner go for him.
  9. Fire sale started at Bournemouth. Nathan Ake signing for Man City for £35m. That's very good value in today's market.
  10. Oh God no He was hopeless up here, Rangers fans couldn't wait to see the back of him, have a peek on their forum and you'll see.
  11. This is interesting as this was the same with Rodgers at Celtic, think we went something crazy like 2 years without scoring from a corner, wonder if this is just a coincidence or something more.
  12. Going forward it's been good, defensively it's been utterly diabolical however.
  13. It doesn't mean you fold like a pack of cards like what is happening here. You can't have that attitude that it's ok to get horsed as you've got a spate of injuries.
  14. Tbh I've not done that, I just don't think he looks very good. He's still young though and has barely any EPL experience, still plenty of time for him to come good.
  15. Only seen him a few times, all post lockdown and don't really see it with him either, looks quite nervous I think. Playing well here though overall, really should be level at least.
  16. Ings would be a great signing. I was the exact same, thought that was a crazy amount for him but right now it's looking like a steal. I'm sure Liverpool will also be kicking themselves as he's a better option that Origi when you look at him now.
  17. I really hope Leicester take this tournament seriously should they qualify, there's not much that annoys me more than when EPL sides show disdain for this competition and field what is pretty much reserve sides.
  18. I was talking in a general sense, not just this season, buying from Scotland in general. I thought that would be obvious with the VVD reference.
  19. Yeah of course, most of it banter jsut thought I'd point it out
  20. Can see the logic in this, misses a lot of chances which he gets away with in the Championship. He's struggled a bit in the past in the EPL because his conversion rate just isn't where it needs to be for an EPL striker.
  21. I like Cantwell, think he's a good player with a lot of potential, my only concern in the short term would be is he good enough just yet to come in and make the sort of impact your crying out for in a wide player in terms of goals and assists.
  22. A fair few on here told me a year or so ago he was another one that was rubbish as he played in the pub league. As poor as Scottish football is there are a few diamonds in the rough and pretty much everyone we've sold on to the EPL in recent years has done relatively well. Just think, had an EPL club been shrewd enough they could have had Van Dijk, Tierney and John McGinn and still had a chunk of change from £50m. I might be biased but I think going for guys from Celtic is far less risky business than some of the guys you've spent questionable amounts of money on in recent years such as Silva, Slimani, Ghezzal etc, etc.
  23. Top player but think he'd be out of reach and not sure he's the type of midfielder required anyway, shelling out a wedge for him would be negligence given the strengthening required in forward areas.
