  1. His goals from this season, he's had some pretty amazing assists too but can't find them all in one video. Excuse the dodgy music lol!
  2. Concerning someone has sat at home and felt the urge to do this
  3. Phew lol! Your hoping Rudkin has a big shredder next to his desk, exclusively for any list Congerton passes him!
  4. For Vestergaard?! Mental if so. If there's any truth in that, that's Congerton at work lol!
  5. Yeah apparently so. Plenty on Google about him.
  6. I think Rodgers would definitely want him as he's worked so closely with him and developed a large part of his career. My own opinion on him is that he is absolutely different class. Moussa Dembele was a star for us, unreal, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was the best we had in the striking department since Larsson but the second-half of last season Edouard eclipsed anything even Dembele done for us, he was breathtaking. He's going to leave Celtic, he's too good for us, as much as it pains me to say it and too good for Scottish football. The word as I mentioned previously however is he's signed a new deal on mega money (by our standards) to stay for one more season and deliver the 10 then will go with everyone's best wishes. What will happen this summer though ultimately I guess no one knows. When Dembele left he made a wise choice in moving to Lyon, somewhere he would play and score goals and will now move to one of Europe's top clubs where he'll probably start every week. Edouard in my opinion the way he's come on in the last season doesn't need that stepping stone move though and could go and hold his own at a top club already. I'm not saying starting every game week in week out but in the squad alongside an experienced striker he could make a real contribution over a season and in not too long become the main man. We got burnt a bit selling Dembele on the cheap and I don't think we'll do the same with Eddy, £30-35m will be our asking price and if there's a number of clubs after him we may get a little bit more. In my mind he's undoubtedly now the best we've had since Larsson. He is such a cool finisher, never seems to miss a 1 on 1, electric pace, strong, deadly from free kicks, good with his back to goal, always delivers in the big games. Ibrox, cup finals, Europe. Pretty mcuh useless in the air is the only weakness I can see in his game and the frightening thing is he'll only get better. His temparement also is so laid back that nothing fazes him and I think this would really help him when he moves to a top league. There's people on here who watch Iheanacho most weeks and will be in a better position than me to judge. However I watched a lot of Leicester last season myself, practically every tv game and as good as Iheanacho was as an impact sub the games I saw him, relying on him regularly starting matches and delivering, I don't know if he's what you guys need if you want to be a perennial champions league club. Again purely based on what I've saw Edouard is in a different class to him. I don't mean this in any sort of disrespectful way but if you guys do sign him and he develops how I think he will he won't be at Leicester for too long either.
  7. His record for France U21's is ridiculous also, I can't recall the exact stats but it's taken him something like less than 10 games to become something like the third highest scorer for their U21's in history.
  8. He's signed a new deal but it's not been announced yet, is apparently going to coincide with the new Adidas kit launch. More than happy for you guys to take Ajer in all honesty!
  9. He's meant to be a head case though.
  10. Yeah that's exactly how we ended up getting Frimpong last summer. Well that and this long standing relationship we have with them. He was intent on leaving after they signed Cancelo and City convinced him if he left we'd be the be the best place for him to go. Word is they have a 30% sell on for him. He continues where he left off last season and he won't be in Scotland for long.
  11. Yeah spot on, completely agree, that is the perfect recipe for success imo, a clever and strong recruitment structure that has already proven to work and a top coach to then develop the players identified. Nothing is broken so why fix it, problem is despite how great a coach he is Rodgers has an ego that may get in the way in terms of transfers and getting his own way. I do think he'll be shackled more at Leicester though, a large part of the problem in Scotland was he was obviously a massive fish in a small pond and he knew this and as such threw his toys out of the pram whenever he didn't get his own way. I don't think he'll be this to the saem extent at Leicester as if he does the same and things turn sour and he walks out or gets sacked other decent clubs in the EPL may think twice about hiring him. All that aside recruitment and coaching co-existing as two separate entities is the way forward now, this is the way all the top clubs are working now.
  12. Because Rodgers is his meal ticket these days. Only places he's been since the disaster that was Sunderland is Celtic and Leicester and each time it was hanging onto Rodgers coat tails.
  13. It's a tough one tbh, Rodgers is hell bent on complete control at a football club so if he doesn't get his way in that regard he may well throw his toys out the pram similar to what happened at us the summer before he left. He had a point that summer tbh because the club made a mess of his number 1 targets in McGinn, Piccini and Schar however the way Rodgers went about the aftermath and all the China stuff was not good and doesn't paint him in a good light. There's a danger Rodgers at times believes his own hype and considers himself bigger than the club. That's not with any bitterness it's just an honest assessment of how he behaved that summer.
  14. One I'd really look seriously at this summer is Leon Bailey, a year or so ago he may have been out of reach but his little downturn in form could work to clubs like Leicester's advantage and make him attainable. He has all the right attributes to be sensational and Rodgers could well be one of the best managers to develop him.
  15. I'm not so sure, Rodgers is ruthless and if Chilwell looks like he is going to turn in another season like last he'll look for better.
  16. Yeah I'd echo pretty much this and the rest of the comments on the thread, Tierney is a fantastic player but he's barely kicked a ball in two years due to injuries which is a big concern. We really ran him into the ground under Rodgers, until just before Rodgers left, he played 60+ games season after season, 90 minutes in practically every one of those. I wouldn't write the shoulder off injury either tbh as he bust the same one when he was at Celtic too. A loan with an option to buy would be the safest option like you allude to. A fit and firing Tierney offers far more than Chilwell going forward imo. The thing with Chilwell is wherever he is next season it is a huge season for him as it will define whether this season was the exception or the rule as from what I seen he had a pretty dreadful season.
  17. Yeah this is what happened usually, a couple of times Tierney played RB too, not the other way round. He was very much a sqaure peg in a round hole there though.
  18. Leaving the reality aspect of all of that out of it, I'm sure I read Congerton said that Turkish keeper was one of the best keeper's he has ever seen, that right away would make me think that guy is actually garbage!
  19. Agree with this also but as soon as EPL clubs come calling the price inflates, that's the nature of the beast.
  20. He was absolute garbage in Scotland last season.
  21. Yeah his biggest weakness is the basics of defending. I wouldn't think this one is one your scouts would be looking at closely tbh, if there's truth in it the basis for the move will be Rodgers and the fact he's worked with him before imo. If your scouts were watching him this season and were prepared to offer £22m for him off the back of these performances I'd be worried.
  22. He was linked with us when Rodgers was at Celtic a couple of times. Seems like Congerton is working from the same list when you hear about Castagne and a couple of others, either that or lazy journalism.
  23. That's actually a good comparison, he's very good at things like bringing the ball out from the back and starting attacks but he lacks the basics of defending and positional sense.
  24. Yeah he was like a Rolls Royce, strolled through games and never seemed to have any real glaring weakness. Maybe that was the plan last season, to give him a proper rest and chance to get over his injuries, I really hope so as it'll be a shame if injuries curtail his career.
