it’s absolutely nuts that people bring up the league position under Cooper. Palace and Wolves were in a false position. Cooper also had the benefit of playing 2 games we haven’t played again this season, against the worst teams in the league. Both of which we probably deserved to lose.

Cool, let’s discuss whether it would be 5 or 6 points behind Wolves if we kept him then.

People need to stop bringing up Cooper, it’s completely ****ing irrelevant. Yes he might be marginally better than RvN but we’d still be going down. He was absolutely clueless and the football we played was just as uninspiring. If you really need to put our bad decisions into a leaderboard, at least talk about the decision to hire Cooper in the first place rather than just replacing him with someone worse.

Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand clappers but I don’t think this is a thing. If you put clappers on seats at every Premier League ground, a similar amount of fans would use them as do at Leicester and a similar amount of fans would kick off about them. Just so happens we got the owners that are weirdly obsessed with them and sadly have become known for them.

That segment about Vichai, Pearson and the club being about the right people, in contrast with the current state of affairs is completely depressing. We're all aware of it, but he articulates why it was special so well, that it really hits home.

Yeah people are completely rewriting history because Ruud is slightly worse. When people compare the results, they ignore that Cooper got two games against the only other sides in the league as bad as us. Even in those games we didn’t deserve the points. We were abysmal under Cooper and we’d be in the same position if he was still here. His signings are still one of the biggest issues.

Completely agree, the difference on Foxestalk vs in the ground is miles apart. The tide is changing, but only slightly and it's still aimed at the players more than the board. Two season ticket holders next to me at the Fulham game were laughing at the Rudkin out chants, followed by something along the lines of "I don't know what they think Jon Rudkin has done here"

I think this is a reason a lot of Dutch managers have struggled in England actually. There have always been bigger issues at Man United obviously, but LVG and Ten Hag definitely had problems with the English media because their personality didn’t mix well with it and probably the general pandering to players in this country. Koeman also seemed to struggle with the dressing room at Everton.

I think Hamza is shite but I can’t accept there is a worse player at the club than Justin atm. His confidence is on the floor and he’s making huge mistakes every single game, we can’t risk playing him. I just hope we can find someone in January to play there.
