  1. I'm gutted for you all. The only positive thing I can think of is that you could have a good season next year and I've always preferred winning in the Championship then losing in the Premiership. Look what Burnley have done with less resources than Leicester have. Get the right manager in and you can easily come straight back up.
  2. The only pleasure we would get from relegating anybody is Sunderland, you can maybe add Everton to that. Very few, if any would take pleasure from relegating Leicester.
  3. Our injuries are clearing up and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the team that you play against, it's quite a strong team. Pope. Trippier. Schar. Botman. Burn. Bruno. Joelinton. Gordon or Anderson. Almiron. Wilson or Isak. Saint-Maximin or Isak. The match should be played with an unbelievable atmosphere and I wouldn't be upset if you got a point but no more than that. I'll not come on later tonight unless you beat us, if you do I will come on to congratulate you if I have time. Good luck, especially after you play us.
  4. You should go for Rafa Benitez and he should have been appointed instead of Smith. His time at Everton was always going to be a problem for him as the Everton fans were never going to take to a former Liverpool manager and that was known as soon as he was linked to them. I'm going to contradict myself here, I don't know why he took the job at the same time as understanding why he did. He was always going to be one defeat away from the crowd turning and that was proven to be the case. Everton started the season under him very well and won a number of games in a row and they were near the top of the league, and then they lost a game. One loss and he had the bile directed towards him from a few fans and they seemed to poison the others who then joined in. I understand why he took it because he will have seen potential if he could win over the detractors. Rafa turned up at Newcastle on the morning and the players had a day off, he phoned them all in that afternoon and had them training because he’ll have noticed that the players were totally unfit. He was never going to keep us (Newcastle) up as we were virtually relegated and had accepted our fate. He turned the players around and we ended the season by hammering Spurs at home, we would have stayed up if we’d appointed him a month earlier because the improvements were clear to see after a few weeks of his training. He'll also want to build solid foundations at your club and will get involved in everything, he also doesn’t suffer fools and will go head to head with anybody at your club if they’re not pulling their weight, including directors and owners. He would be a brilliant choice, a choice you could and should get behind if you get the chance, he’s also a winner if given a fair chance. He loves his family but Leicester would be his priority, the man is class and so is the manager.
  5. I hope that we don't act like pricks if you do go down at our place, I wouldn't like to see any of our fans taking the piss. I suspect a few might but they will hopefully be put in place by others around them if they do. Villa bizarrely celebrated us being relegated at their place and it wasn't a good thing to see as we had no direct rivalry with them. We have no rivalry with Leicester other on a game by game basis. On Monday we’ll be rivals for a couple of hours and then it’s over until the next time we meet, hopefully next season as I lived not far from Leicester so had mates who supported you. We took the piss out of each other but it was never anything bad, we were both in what was then the second division so we were both shite so it was like two bald blokes fighting over a comb.
  6. I suspect that he'll play as he only had a minor knock.
  7. I would like to see your players show some pride, something I haven't seen from them in a long time. You can justifiably feel cheated by most of them from what I've seen. I don't mind players who have an off day whilst trying, it boils my piss when they don't look as if they have a care in the world. Fans pay a fortune and the least they deserve is to see players trying to earn their exorbitant wages. Vardy is one of the few that I’ve seen looking as if he cares but he’s probably too old for a footballer to be trying to win games on his own. He can still show a burst of pace but is it fair expecting him to do that on his own for 90 minutes?
  8. We took the piss a bit that day. We spent most of the game singing 'Andy Cole, Andy Cole, Andy Andy Cole, he gets the ball, he scores a goal, Andy Andy Cole' and then Steve Walsh scored late on for you and we started singing 'Stevie Walsh, Stevie Walsh, Stevie Stevie Walsh, he gets the ball, he scores a goal, Stevie Stevie Walsh.'
  9. You'll be welcome in all of the pubs before and after the match, away fans can drink almost anywhere and there's no trouble unless the away fans start it.
  10. We're not going to be complacent, we are struggling with injuries though and that will give you a fighting chance as long as your players are up for it. I do worry for you if you go behind early. I just hope Villa take something off Liverpool then this game might be meaningless for us.
  11. No, he's been carrying an injury to his ankle since the middle of January which will be operated on during the Summer, he should be fine for Monday night although he might be our only midfielder who is close to being fit.
  12. I was at that game and the atmosphere was one of the best that I have ever experienced, the whole ground (apart from Leicester fans) was singing about Andy Cole for large parts of the game. I don't know if you remember but Lindisfarne played a couple of songs live, they were up in the Leazes which was getting built at that time.
  13. I've just had a thought. You beat Liverpool tonight, we beat Brighton on Thursday and you can have the win at our place as we'll not need the points.
  14. Good luck tonight lads and lasses. You can take it for granted that all NUFC fans are with you on this one.
  15. Good Luck lads, you have more than enough to beat these and as a Newcastle fan, I hope that you do win because it probably relegates them along with Southampton and more than likely Leeds who probably will not get another point this season. Stick with your team even if you go behind, which is unlikely becuase Dyche doesn't seem able to get a tune out of them. Get the first goal and they'll fold like a pack of cards. Calvert-Lewin is their only real threat and even he isn't that good because of the really poor service that they give him. Their defence is really really bad and are easy to get at, the only thing they can do is follow through on tackles to try and either injure or upset your players. Maddison, Iheanacho and Vardy will rip them apart if they're all fit and playing.
