  1. You still haven’t got any facts to what you’re saying. You’re joining the dots and making educated guesses which is fair enough but don’t write statements as if you know the exact ins and outs of behind the scenes, it’s just embarrassing. I’m also in the Cooper out camp so not sure what your second point is about? Potter didn’t lay any foundation's at Brighton, their board and management behind the scenes did. In fact Chris Hughton did the hard work and got them to the promise land not the fraud Potter. The managers post Potter have far exceeded what he ever did there in terms of style of football. When we played Brighton under Potter, they weren’t anything special. In my humble opinion the choice of Potter, Corberan and Cooper wasn’t that great and none of them excited me. I’d much rather take a punt on an up and coming manager with an identity ala Enzo but something a bit more resourceful ala Klopps style.
  2. Would love to know how people know the above as fact? No doubt we had interest in the names mentioned above, but it’s obvious the impending points deduction had the final say. Potter is sitting on a nice pension from Chelsea and Corberan seems to be a man of principle. He rejected the chance of managing Leeds who he had a mutual connection with, which to me says a lot about his character. He’s obviously backed himself to bring WBA up. As much as the Cooper appointment is looking to be a parody, I don’t doubt the club had other targets in mind but I’m guessing they just couldn’t convince them to join us with the points deduction incoming. IMO, I don’t think Cooper was appointed on the back of a financial decision but was just the best of a bad bunch. For the record, I don’t think Potter or Corberan are great targets anyway and I was disappointed when they were favourites to land the job in the summer. It feels like we got away with one by escaping the points deduction, but in reality it looks like it’s punished us already not being able to bring top targets in on the management and playing side.
  3. Dare I say it, he’s looking like a bargain. Twice the player of Winks. Thought he was immense yesterday. Lacks in the final third but what an engine.
  4. Will be a 40 million plus player in no time!
  5. If I was a guessing man, he may have been behind the article in The Sun. A falling out with Cooper prior to this maybe? We all know Vesty doesn’t hold back. He’s got history of leaking stories to the press (Rodger’s) and surely has learnt not to attach his name to it to avoid a fine and training with the kids like previously.
  6. Only positive is that we’ve scored in every game and not been beaten by a big margin, yet.…….. Seeing out games with all out defending from the 76th minute is not the one though. Disgusting substitutions yesterday that cost us. Hamza and Coady made us weaker. Slowly becoming Rodger’s mk2 with his stubbornness. I really believed after Villa he would learn but it seems like he’s stuck in his ways. Will judge after the Everton game but I’m slowly loosing support.
  7. I do swerve all the dogs around the stadium if I can. Not because I’m carrying anything nefarious but because I bring a packet of biltong as my in game snack to each match. It never caused me any issues until last year at Chelsea in the cup. I had a dog put its nose against my pocket as I walked by and then sat down next to me. I had an open packet of biltong in my pocket on that occasion. I was then taken out of the que and violated by the security touching me all over and searching through my wallet and all my belongings. The guy was adamant it wasn’t the biltong until I waved the packet near the dog and it went mad and sat again waiting for the treat. They took the dog out of service for the day after that. I’m pretty sure someone just brought their lab from home to pose as a security dog.
  8. Still after one for this please. Cash in hand jobby and can meet anywhere in the shire.
  9. This this this! Every single thread is negativity after negativity after negativity. It was the same last season when we were top of the league. It’s not just this forum, it’s virtually every football fan these days. People seem to be programmed to be negative by default these days in all aspects of life. Don’t stress, sit back and enjoy the ride.
  10. Once again I don’t disagree with you and also stated I wish we started more positive but…. I can see what Cooper is doing and he’s doing what a lot of managers do as a first port of call and that’s making us more solid from the back. Hindsight is great and I’m sure if he could turn back time he would’ve done things differently yesterday. Time will tell if he learns from this. If he clearly ignores this and carry’s on with our best attacking talent on the bench from the start, then I’d also be in the Cooper out camp but ffs it’s been 3 games. Give the man and squad a chance and get behind your team!
  11. Welcome to the premier league. Give it a little more time and judge after half a season. Anyone can use stats to paint a narrative. Funny how you’re selecting stats such as “up to 70 minutes” discrediting anything positive as you obviously can’t stand the thought of us being good. You’re part of the problem as a modern day negative football fan. I’d hate to have your mindset. Whilst we’re at it, look at these stats below. What was the scoreline?
  12. Again you clearly ignored the majority of my post where I stated we set up too negatively and should’ve been more positive from the start but of course that doesn’t suit your narrative. I wouldn’t be too quick to judge. Villa are a top 4 side and all things considering, we kept them fairly quiet. Wait till we play a team at “our level” at home before hitting the panic button. It sounds like you’ve got unrealistic expectations of where this team is currently at and the quality of the opposition and league we’re in judging by your dismissive and stubborn replies. We’ve got a new manager, new players and a limited budget in comparison to our counterparts. I’m a positive person by default. I always look at the good first rather than the bad and am happy to give the manager time and in the mean time get behind the team and not spout negativity just because we don’t play like Man City.
  13. I guess you didn’t enjoy the majority of the 2015/16 season? And you conveniently ignored my fact about Burnley last season and Southampton thus far. “Technically impressive football” yay we passed the ball between ourselves with the square root of f all!
