Rodgers clearly wasn't arsed about this game with his selection. We have killed our own season in the league due to corner defending, it's that simple. I can't ever see it improving until we get new personnel on the pitch, it's ingrained in our DNA almost. Just want this season over asap Its all on the Conference league

Newcastle away is the weekend after EC last 8 tie second leg. Extremely likely to not be the Saturday as we should get to the quarters surely... 17th March is the second leg of last 16, so basically we won't find out until after that. Leaves no times to organise much at all travel wise etc

Injuries is a big excise for me, can say it hasn't helped but it hasn't impacted us massively. We haven't been able to defend set pieces for longer than this season, that cost us the top four in itself. Fofana is a miss obviously but he had some poorer performances last season too. Absolutely Watch other games. Especially when the opposition is pushing, the keeper plucks so many balls out the air it's unbelievable. In our case it's almost 50/50 to score, win a header likely win a goal. Most goals against us aerially seem to be in and around six yard box. I think the Europa would be so much better as a Uefa Cup format again. The knockout games from the word go seem so much more appealing, the long winded group stages just add to a long season. Personally hope we're not in Europe next season, hopefully we can benefit that way

Agree with this. I think he's a top player but isn't always consistent, maybe due to the demands of the game ove here. I think European football will suit him more

West ham have destroyed us defensively in our last three meetings. They're a physical, in your face team and we cannot cope with it at all. Antonio is one of those players who always turns up Vs us. 1-3 West Ham
