KFS Posted 22 February 2016 Share Posted 22 February 2016 Seriously? They are owned by a couple of porn merchants, and are about to move into a new stadium paid for by UK taxpayers. How embarrassing for me- I always thought they dealt in PAWN. Always had it in my head that it's the reason why they drive bentleys, wear fur coats and have gold flowing out of every crevice

EnglishOxide Posted 22 February 2016 Share Posted 22 February 2016 It's a little bit out of a non story though. I'm sure senior squads play u21s quite often in training matches. For the seniors it's just training. For the youth it's a chance to test themselves.

ThaiFox Posted 23 February 2016 Share Posted 23 February 2016 It'd be an absolutely superb achievement if Arsenal won it for three successive years and quite frankly, although I want Everton or West Ham to win it this year, it'd be pleasing to watch Arsenal do it. That Blackburn team in the late 1880s must have been ridiculously good. Didn't that Blackburn team have Tim 'Captain Bellend' Sherwood as captain? Don't want moaning Arse'nal to win it, or any London club. But I hope Arse'nal stay in it to complicate their P/L run in, and West Ham, Chelski, Man Utd, Watford & Palace, all stay in until they've played us. Shame those other arses Tottingham Hotspuds went out, the more games the better for them, so I hope they get a few more long trips in the Europa league to tire them out, but I've got a feeling they will throw Thursday's match to concentrate on the P/L. It's essential we win on Saturday to keep the pressure on these other teams I suppose if I had to pick any team to win the cup, I'd go for Everton or Reading. Dislike all the teams left in it. Mind you, I dislike every team except LCFC!

ThaiFox Posted 23 February 2016 Share Posted 23 February 2016 100 years to early... I was talking about Blackburn in the late 1880's. Ha Ha! I was only joking about Sherwood! His tactics are about 100 years out of date!
ousefox Posted 23 February 2016 Share Posted 23 February 2016 I know City have a lot of games but I still don't know why they put that team out. They could quite easily win nothing this year. Premier League 30% chance at best Champions League 10% chance at best League Cup is their biggest chance but they're in poor form and Klopp will want it more imo

Foxxed Posted 23 February 2016 Share Posted 23 February 2016 So I'm thinking I want Arsenal to win the first leg or at least draw, so ideally they take their mind off the league, lose some games and leave only Spurs left int it.

Countryfox Posted 24 February 2016 Share Posted 24 February 2016 According to the Telegraph report on last nights game Barca are susceptible to the fast counter attack .... we've as good as beat them already !
filbertway Posted 24 February 2016 Share Posted 24 February 2016 The 2nd leg shouldn't even be allowed to be aired live, it's going to be brutal. Barca are a different animal at home compared to away.
ThaiFox Posted 24 February 2016 Share Posted 24 February 2016 When I broke my nose, it made me talk like Harry Kane so he'll probably end up sounding like Jabba the Hutt. But will it stop the dribble running down his chin when he speaks? Shame Arse'nal lost. Agree with Foxxed that a win might have made them ease up in the P/L. I disagree with Moaner Wenger about a 5% chance though......I reckon 1%, and that's only if Barca don't turn up for the second leg! I still suspect Tottingham will throw Thursday's match so they can concentrate on the title. It's crucial we beat Norwich to keep the pressure on them both. I can't see either Swansea or Man Ure getting any sort of result against either of them.

I can't see either Swansea or Man Ure getting any sort of result against either of them. Spurs will have played 3 games since Swansea last played including twice in the previous week. Depending on how terrible of a side they put out in the Europa league, that's plenty of fatigue and time to prepare that should give Swansea a little more of a chance then they'll be given on paper. As for Man U, please find a way.
ScouseFox Posted 24 February 2016 Share Posted 24 February 2016 spurs' record after europa league thursdays over the past few years is pretty poor. in the past two and a half years, games you'd have them down as bankers that they have messed up on sundays post europa league are; newc (h) 2-1 loss newc (h) 2-1 loss stoke (h) 2-1 loss liverpool (h) 3-0 loss west brom (h) 1-0 loss west ham (h) 2-2 draw swansea (a) 2-2 draw palace (h) 1-0 loss west ham (h) 3-0 loss newc (h) 1-0 loss liverpool (h) 5-0 loss norwich (a) 1-0 loss all since the start of the 13/14 season. the longer they stay in that competition the better for everyone else.
