Jaspa Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 Who was Roy watching at Watford-Bournmouth? Looked like Malky Mackay and John Motson, all good commentaries need a Scotsman with the host Rooney might be out for a while longer according to the papers, his knee apparently - might even miss the Euros
Fox92 Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 it's the fact he flagged for a Southampton foul. How do you not see that? And then referee sees he's flagging, but plays advantage for the wrong team. Wow you've had a mare there He flags, yes, but not in any direction - he puts his flag up then down. These officials communicate with each other all game, the linesman would have told him it was a Southampton free kick. The fact that he doesn't point his flag right indicates he was happy for the referee to play the advantage for Chelsea. Which is why Koeman post match said if it's a Chelsea free kick and the referee plays on, he's correct to do so.

Yeah but he switches from his left hand to his right hand which, to me, would signal a free kick to Southampton in that case. Koeman's quote doesn't mean the officials were correct - he probably just didn't want to get in to any controversy or create a big deal about it (like we are )
Matt Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 Looking at Chelsea's return to form they're only 6 points off 5th now, crazy. Bloody hell, how has that happened! I'm not having this 'It's been a shit season' from other fans, if you swap Leicester for Chelsea it's a fairly standard season, but what I will say is it's been a tighter season (Unless you are Aston Villa ), which is good, other fans should be embracing that, a more exciting, open season! TBF it's only the teams at the top that are complaining it's been a shit season.
foxes161 Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 looks like Chelsea will finish strong and give Conte some to build on for next year. Got to think they are back in mix next season.

The other Top Four/Five clubs are only complaining because they can't stand the fact that we're still top.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 Really hoping Swansea hit a run of good form this week away at Spurs and then Arsenal in midweek, they could do us a massive favour, Spurs have to travel to West Ham in the week so the pressure is on them to win today. Yeah I was going to say that West Ham v Spurs could go either way, especially with it being such a fierce rivalry.

The linesman did everything correct As it's been said he swaps the flag into his right hand and waves it which says it is a free kick to the team shooting to his right (Southampton)
fazzyfox Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 United fan for the afternoon, walking round house rocking head back and forwards humming Oasis songs and breaking out into the occasional ""Yanited cha cha cha". Forgot that Mancunians only make up a small percentage of their crowd, should be using a Cornish accent instead. Raw Dykes Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 Spurs v Arsenal next Saturday that's a hard game to call; probably be a draw. A draw is best for us, obviously, as it means a total of 4 points have been lost for them, but with them being neck and neck currently, no outcome is bad for us. A draw holds them both back a bit, but a win for either holds the other back a bit more. Could turn it into a two-horse race.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 February 2016 Share Posted 28 February 2016 Being realistic, my hope for the Spurs game is that Swansea make them work for whatever they get. It's the midweek game they have against West Ham that has more potential for dropped points.

I've put £5 on Man City (I think they're out of the question re - The title, but a loss in a final for them would be another kick in the teeth), Spurs and Arsenal, so hopefully my jinxing powers will work wonders once again!
