Arriba Los Zorros Posted 3 March 2016 Share Posted 3 March 2016 Bit late but here is the players ratings from Arsenal v Man U from GoonersWorld. these plebs are nasty bitter c**ts, I'm really enoying seeing them fail and cry all over the Internet from the safety of their parents homes: Cech - you were pretty shit todayBellerin - shittttttttttttGabriel - f**k off you ****koscielny - that deflection, its like he has wenger loser DNA monreal - every goal came from your side and you missed a sitter f**k you you piece of shitramsey - you are so shit with your runs are destroying attacks and then failing with your defensive duties, you will never be lampard stop dreaming you f***ing ****, i hope shawcross breaks your other leg, i can't believe i ever defended a **** like this. Also seems like he has the worst personality in our team, i would hate him with a passion if i wasn't an Arsenal fan.sanchez - has become a terrible player under wenger, doesn't even shoot anymore, sell to liverpool for 50 mil in the summer that ****walcott - useless piece of shit doesn't even bother anymore, he is like podolski doesn't do anything except score but the difference is that he also fails to score now and just ****s up our chances, sell to newcastle for 10 milwenger - sack this old useless ****, hopefully he has a stroke or something and has to retire. Dan LCFC Posted 3 March 2016 Share Posted 3 March 2016 It's become a genuine possibility that Guardiola could be taking over a team who aren't in the Champions League next season. They're escaping a lot more criticism than they should be. They've been truly terrible this season for what they've spent. Arsenal fans have a right to be frustrated, and I have a degree of sympathy with the realistic ones - but those who are borne into Wenger's excuse making culture are embarrassing. What an absolute mentality of losers they have. I can see it and I support a side who've been nowhere near Arsenal in my lifetime. It really has opened my eyes about why they get sneered at by the others. Would Chelsea or Man Utd stand for this? They've both had very bad years* but would either of those two accept this kind of repetition of mistakes? For nearly a decade? * yet for me Man Utd are actually in the title race now - and how ridiculous is that? All the people saying it would be embarrassing if Leicester won the league... I'd twist that round and say it would be far, far more embarrassing if Arsenal, Man City or Man Utd won it, given how pathetic all three have been all season. At least Leicester and Spurs are teams with character and fight about them, those three are horrific.

Guest ttfn Posted 3 March 2016 Share Posted 3 March 2016 I can't believe the collective meltdown in the media and amongst the fans about Arsenal. They've got 5 very easy home games left (yes I know they lost one last night) and are only 6 behind us. There's still over a quarter of the season left for goodness sake. Exactly, they are by no means out of it, and being written off will take the pressure off. they choke under pressure and thrive when it's off. I'm still more concerned about them than Spurs! There's still over a quarter of the season left for goodness sake. i think it's the performances/circumstances rather than the actual results that's causing such a fuss. it's just further proof (not that much was needed) that they specialise in failing. after their grind against us they thought (as fans and media) they'd proven themselves. the lap of honour. the huge win against a title rival. the glory, the momentum etc. they'd won it. but it's mentally not there. things like never being able to score against chelsea. playing twice vs the worst chelsea side of a generation (at least) and they still lost twice and didn't score. never being able to win at old trafford, going to old trafford and losing against a man u team with a 12 year old up front and a few mascots on the bench. they might have quite a few "easy" games left but the last two weeks just goes to show that they're probably going to mess them up as well. as shit as that arsenaltv is, there was a clip at the weekend where they interviewed a fan and he said "well we've just got to win most of our remaining games and we'll win the league", to which that fat bald guy started screaming and shouting "just win our last ten games, that's what we say with ten games to go every year, it's never going to happen". they always look great with about 20 games to go. start to bottle it with 15/10 left and give themselves too much to do, too much pressure and end up falling away. with no city, chelsea or united and us dropping points last night this was meant to be different and it's clearly going to be the exact same. The guy's a regular guest on their YouTube channel from what I gather and it's more become a case of trying to perform well in front of the camera. It's an act, showboating, performing for the others around him. Claude and his fellas know about the exposure, so forget about in-depth analysis, they're doing it for themselves. That's just like what Arsenal have become in the past ten years - a regular web TV series with no convincing ending and a terrible script, wrapped in high-quality paper. Biggus Posted 3 March 2016 Share Posted 3 March 2016 Do you think we might have been the 'last straw' in Wenger's tenure like we were for Sherwood and Mourinho. I know this would not be following a game where we beat them, but indirectly we would be a contributing factor. Maybe too soon but in May if they are below us it would be surely too much for the fans this time.

I read a great article about 7 or 8 years ago in FourFourTwo about the negative psychological impact of premature celebration, with specific reference to Yeovil's exuberant celebrations after winning the play off semi 5-2 at the City Ground in about 2005. They then got beaten by Blackpool in the final and the whole thing was about how they couldn't reach the same levels again because on some level they'd already hit their highest point emotionally. Couldn't help but see similarities in that as the lap of honour started, and then continued for what seemed like forever, on Valentine's Day. But like I say, plenty of twists and turns yet. Certainly wouldn't put it past them to get something on Saturday and with their home fixtures you've got to fancy them to get at least another 20 points.
