After 25 years of loyalty I've got rid of Sky. Paying £80 a month  is just too much.

I've heard so much about Kodi from people on here I have purchased https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-keyboard-Tonbux%C2%AE-Streaming-Android/dp/B017D1F2EM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1465482820&sr=8-5&keywords=kodi+fully+loaded+tv+box and will arrive on Tuesday alongside http://ao.com/product/he65k5510uwts-hisense-tv-black-41636-108.aspx smart TV.

The problem is I'm a bit nervous about installing the software onto my new tv. Can somebody give me a an complete idiots guide on how to do this please. I'm mainly interested in Sports, Movies, Game of Thrones History and Documentaries.

All help is appreciated.

I don't  think most smart TVs will take Kodi.

I couldn't get my box to work on a smart tv had to use an older standard flat screen one.

That's not a very smart TV then is it?

No and I hate the thing, I can't even get chrome to install on it and I've read recently 'they' can monitor everything you're watching.

I wouldn't buy one again but apparently it's going to become impossible to get a none smart one.

I'm not sure about the box. I thought you meant loading the program onto your TV?

Sorry I'm not very tec on this. Is there any way I can get Sky Sports on my TV without going through the usual means? ie  without paying?

There are addons that show Sky sports but there might be a drop in picture quality and it's not always reliable. If you're looking for a like for like replacement you might be disappointed. Some of the lads on here have paid subscriptions that have Sky if that's the way you want to go.

Plug the box in, go online (not on your tv), and search for instructions on installing castaway, UK Turk, Spectofork and Exodus.

They're all pretty reliable for free apps.

I find this site quite helpful for step by step instructions https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-zemtv-for-xbmc-kodi/ (Zemtv is fairly decent so give it an install), these apps are fairly dynamic in how quickly they stop working and new ones appearing though.
