Little plug (no pun intended) but may be beneficial to some. Just started a new job as a PM at a renewable energy firm. Anyone looking at having an EV charging point installed, give me a shout and I’ll make sure you get looked after.

Also, felt a bit awkward turning up on the first day in a 3L V6 diesel lol

Might take you up on this at some point in terms of the options

Looking in the next few months to swap my audi estate for an outlander hybrid

Whilst ideally you would want a home charging point, you'd get full range on an overnight charge from a standard 3 pin plug for a hybrid

Beauty. I bet that goes like shit off a shovel. No wonder you've got 9 points :D

What age, mileage is it and how much are you thinking of selling it for?

Looking for 17000 with a new mot. It's the convertible by the way

That's pretty decent mileage for its age.

Quick look on Autotrader and £17k seems about right.

What car would you go for next when you've sold it?

Saw a car on auto trader last week and had been keeping tabs on it so messaged them today to find out some more details. As soon as they replied i realised the price had gone up £700! Is this a common tactic? Seems like a dirty move considering the price had been the same for the week previous but just miraculously went up as soon as there was interest in it! Lost a sale thats for sure which is a shame as really liked the car

Was it from a small independent dealer?

Wouldn't surprise me.

AutoTrader's price rating guide is pretty good. They'd probably advertise it to make great/good price, then inflate it when enquired upon.

A larger dealer wouldn't be able to get away with such things.

Tom! I've got a question for you. I'm not 100% sure but an item that was on the spec list for the 2023 model of that Ioniq 5 I ordered has been removed. When this happens do they usually compensate or do anything about it? It was something relatively expensive, worth about £400 when fitted as an option, supposedly

Looks like a single site, but big enough to know better.

To be fair, most retailers will review prices constantly and change them to reflect the market, especially with how volatile it is right now.

Worth a call to them and saying you'd consider it at their original price.

They've priced it like that to give themselves enough of a margin and it could be a complete coincidence that its jumped up as you've enquired, based on what other retailers are charging.

I'm guessing you had your eye on it because it was a decent price?

Not being detrimental to you, they've seen others are charging more and priced accordingly.

It literally does come down to "if they're charging that much, I will too"
