wrong

when it's sung too fast, and it was heading that way on Saturday, it fizzles out too quickly. Mainly because when the rest of the ground tries to join in they don't know where to start, some join in half the way through, some at the end of the "chorus" etc

It sounds disjointed, it needed to be just a tad slower at the weekend

this is how it needs to be sung. SLOW. Dont think theres anyone who can say singing it quickly sounds better than this? Epic.

Also after the last WOAHHHHH theres a slight pause so everyone can keep in tune, thats there for a reason!!

Once we start singing a song too fast, there's no way back for it. It's mainly the younger lads that do this as well and they are becoming the vocal majority. If they sing it like that, that's how we'll sing it.

Both Danns' and Beckford's chants are far too quick as well.

These kids these days, every song has got to be a clubbing tune with a umpt umpt umpt umpt

That's the problem. It's the Rihanna generation ruining football chants (which is incidentally those a year younger than me and below  )

Why As one for you? does that even make sense

That's the lyrics, if you listen to the original video. It's sung as a sign of unity that we are behind the boys as one. At Melbourne we have a South end and North End it was first sung at a derby when both the North end and South end came together as one, hence the show of unity for the boys.

If your singing a song you don't need to say we are singing a song, i'm pretty sure they would of already figured that out lol

Yes, it makes sense - the terrace sings as one, i.e. together, rather than a disjointed mess of individual voices.

Having said that, that line could be sung as "a song for you", "this one for you" or "this song for you". They all sound pretty much the same and they all make sense, but as Soccerroo Fox says, you don't need to sing a song to the players that tells them you're singing a song. I type this reply to you.
