New chants and songs

We shouldn't be striving to be them, we should be striving to be better than them. Clubs like Man United/Leeds/Palace/Celtic/Sheffield Wednesday etc have my respect because they keep it original and are one step ahead of the curve. We have a songbook of great traditional unique chants that never get aired because most folks would rather spout something they heard another set of fans sing last week. Take We Love You. Recall half a dozen lads trying to get it going at Palace away before anyone in England sang it and getting laughed at. Now, as soon as half the Football League sing it, it's OK? Ridiculous state of affairs. I thought Derby fans were meant to be the sheep FFS?

 

We could either be striving to be respected or continue wanking over youtube vids the rest of the country saw about half a decade ago.

I remember this being suggested a couple of years ago on this thread and I thought it was a really good idea. It would be unique and could sound really good. It's a shame it was pretty much ignored.

I think it was me lol I thought about this the other day oddly enough. Perfect sort of tune to get thousands involved, would sound unreal - AND he's from Leicester.

 

Lee, I think he's got a point. Too many of our fans just want to be like everyone else and I don't get why - we can be better than Palace.

I like sos cagon and your suggestion but could you imagine how drab it'd be if our fans sung it?

Oh well, I suppose we'll just have to wait until Palace sing it.

 

Argentines have a pretty unique accent in football songs I've noticed lol

 

One of them that a good drummer compliments. Not that I expect Jobber to ever hit their levels lol
