and Vardy ripped up their defence.

Right, I'm going to repeat it because I'm drunk and I think it bears serious consideration. Fort the 5-3 chant - now I know I never make it to games so my opinion on this matter won't count for as much with some of you (though if you saw my payslip you'd probably understand), but I've been singing it to my Utd supporting friend and it seems to piss him off well enough, plus it flows well (imo):

 

We scored 5

They scored 3

We took the piss on Sky TV

Jamie Vardy dived, Cambiasso equalized

LEONARDO MADE IT 5

 

Now go fvck yourselves you non-plastic arsewipes.

This whole syllables thing is just going to confuse everyone.. Our fans can't even sing the "We love you" song in sync. Surely if it rhymes and it's simple just leave it at that? Why does it have to fit the syllables...?

If it doesn't scan, you can't sing it. If you have to stretch a syllable out over more than one note or cram a few syllables into one note, a crowd will find it nearly impossible to sing, and even if they do manage it (which they won't), it will sound absolutely fvcking awful.

Try singing the lyrics of one song to a different tune and see for yourself.

Shouldn't be mentioning Sky in a chant (unless it's defamatory) in my opinion...

If we want a knick knack paddy whack song, I've got something a bit different that works..

I like this because the 3 & 5 are the right way around in my opinion. They scored three, we scored five just seems a nicer, more satisfying way to say it!
