There has been plenty of this sort of bollocks in the past. Back in the 80s, my Dad (who has an obviously Irish surname) briefly got involved with the Labour Party - and a newsletter was circulated that had his name & address on it as a contact. Someone wrote him an anonymous letter, ending "With a name like yours, shouldn't you be somewhere else?" You can laugh up to a certain point, but it's going to be no fun if some people now think they're entitled to insult or threaten strangers, never mind the real headcases like the bloke who killed Jo Cox MP. Guest MattP Posted 29 June 2016 Share Posted 29 June 2016 If this does result in a serious upsurge in racial/bigoted abuse violence, then it was coming out eventually whatever the result of the vote last week as it has to be simmering under the surface to do so, as I say, we need to clamp down on it with an iron fist, they certainly don't represent any campaign that supported British independence. There is much more than just one side to all this. the idea that hate abuse was invented on friday morning is ridiculous... leave did not stir it up it has always been there .. my point is.. it appears there is justified hate and none justified hate ....liberals appear to acknowledge one but not the other...but then again hypocrisy is a Liberal strong suite ..
